Maribelle

the product of a contract she does not remember whatsoever. in life, maribelle was a necromancer, and a prodigy at that. she lost the ability to age almost a century ago, becoming an expert in spirit channeling and puppeting the dead. it was through maribelle that the great mythos riot of the 1950s had its tides turned, using the corpses of the soldiers to fight back at the military. it made her public enemy number one, and it wasn’t long before her escape route was intercepted, and she was shot dead on the spot.

however, in her life, she had traded her mortality for a contract with the reapers. upon death, her corpse would be trained to become a reaper. however, as it turns out, either through some mishap with her soul or the bullet through her brain, she completely forgot who she was in her past life. she is only sure of one thing: she’s extraordinarily powerful. 

it seems she retained her personality, even in undeath. her massive arcane prowess aside, she’s extremely people-shy, and not much of a diplomat. she does well with mindless puppets she controls, not those with an actual free will. it’s why she loves dead things so much! well, she’s going to have to intersct with a lot of souls in the nearby future, and act as a mediator to danger in the city. she has the strength to do it, but does she have the guts..?!
