Lavrentiy

a professor in the arcane… is the fancy word for it! lavrentiy works in a greenhouse at the edge of hexenring, where he experiments with plant-related nature magic, and teaches those who are interested in magic, but haven’t yet found a coven. his office is a very popular spot for school trips. and with good reason! lavrentiy is a dedicated academic, and incredibly friendly to boot. the one problem is, he’s usually 2 foot shorter than all the kids that attend his classes… you can say he has a bit of trouble garnering respect..!

lavrentiy is a dwarf yeti, a variant of yeti that is much smaller, but has inherent arcane prowess. they hail from the altai mountains in siberia, lurking in a cave system nearly unknown to humans. they grew up living a simple life, eating elk brain in the winters, and shearing the wool of their siblings in the winters. though, being one of the few dwarf yeti, just like their father, they were raised with a bit more magical teachings than their peers. it was this upbringing that made them a little more ambitious than most, and they moved to the haven plane to further their teachings. even today, they prefer living in more secluded areas, having set up a little shack near the greenhouse, and right by jeromme’s farm.

of course, every eccentric scholar has an eccentric hobby! lavrentiy spends quite a bit of time at home when not researching, and with such an empty home, quickly grew a bit bored. what better way to migitate that, than breeding a bunch of cute animals?! there is no better way, and you know it! he has set up quite the lucrative business of breeding and selling ferrets, but he has the problem where he wants to keep more than he actually sells… just look at the little guys! crowding up all the available space in his house! awww.
