Nobuyuki

sweet little nobuyuki! the gumdrop of the nakanishi household. he’s always been the softest of all inhabitants, though the coddling that followed may have spoiled him a touch too much. after years of teaching and training, nobuyuki went from a softspoken and gentle young man to a spunky idol. despite being part of the nakanishi household, nobuyuki has always preferred the company of humans. he simply finds them so curious, and happens to be quite good at getting their attention. despite enduring plenty abuse at the hands of humans, nobuyuki would not let them stunt his dreams of being an idol.

nobuyuki is on the younger side of youkai at only 300~ years old, close to the end of the war. like many others of the nakanishi household, he was rescued by kazue and given human form, and the two promptly developed crushes on each other. he never quite developed time lag, and together with newcomer itsuo would get in all sorts of trouble. it was then nobuyuki discovered a love for entertaining — he wanted to sing, dance, and be admired. and so, in the late 1970s, nobuyuki became an idol in the human world! his image is one of an adorable, soft and cuddly young man, with a flashy taste in fashion. while he definitely is still adorable off-camera, he’s absolutely exaggerating it. he‘s in fact not as soft as he seems, and can be quite rude without remorse. 
in private, nobuyuki’s overbearing and peppy personality is contrasted by a much calmer demeanor. his on-tv personality is much more energetic, and while he‘s always a cheerful man, behind closed doors he’s very quiet. while it may seem that he’s just shy, in truth, he’s becoming a beacon of gossip. the less he talks, the more he hears.
