Iso's OC Question of the Day

SuperStar2361 The links feature is something that allows you to link different characters together, whether it's to your own or to someone else's characters (like if you have friends you RP with and want to talk about their relationship)! For example, just picking out the character that was featured on your page when I went there, going to this page should allow you to create and edit links to Lora!

I'm going to try and answer these ten at a time. There's too many for one post LOL

 

Q1. Who was the first OC you made a profile for on Toyhouse? Why them?

Listra is one of my oldest characters and closest to her final design. Her simple appearance and cheerful, accepting demeanor make her a good candidate as a mascot. She's one of my favorites right now.

 

Q2. How do your OCs feel about the internet? If it doesn't exist in their universe, how would they feel if it did? What kind of sites do/would they go on?

Most of my characters are fairly happy-go-lucky and comparable to average "let's just not look at the awful parts =D" Earth Internet-goers. The ones who would get upset at the porn of stuff would be calmed down by the various emotional- or healing-orientated Nice Person characters.

 

Q3. Which of your OCs sleeps the most? Who's the hardest to wake up, if it's not the same person?

Holly on both counts. She fulfills most of the tropes of the lazy girl. Rhubarb is also a contender.

 

Q4. Which of your OCs is the cleanest? Who takes the longest showers/baths, if it's not the same person?

Most of the girls take pretty good care of themselves, especially considering the medieval-esque setting of the world. Goldenfern is probably the cleanest and most well-kept of the girls, but she would hate to waste water; more self-indulgent showers or baths probably better fit Penelope, who's from a noble family and wouldn't really think about it.

 

Q5. Which of your OCs has the biggest sweet tooth?

That's easily Lilina. Yes, she even beats Rhubarb. Fortunately for her, not only is she a good baker but it all goes to her breasts.

 

Q6. Which of your OCs stays up the latest? Who gets the least sleep, if it's not the same person?

I haven't decided if the gods of my world need to sleep or not, at least the "people" ones. Arteline is the goddess of the moon (a literal night owl.)

Excluding those characters, I would probably name either Acacia (a clubber / DJ) or Holly (generally careless) as late night girls -- yes, I know I named Holly as the sleeper too, but she sleeps during the day 'cause she stayed up all night.

 

Q7. Which of your OCs is the most forgetful?

That'd be Locust, who is generally a sweet but very dumb guy. Yes, I do have male characters.

 

Q8. Do any of your OCs have notable dreams, or at least any recurring themes that appear in their dreams?

Thanks for reminding me about Aletheia, a blind seer. The real world she can hear and not see, but prophetic visions she can see and not hear. She can get these visions while sleeping, which will make them abstract and difficult to understand because they're mixing in with her dreams in strange ways.

 

Q9. Which of your OCs is the worst cook?

While I haven't really thought about this, I'm going to preemptively answer with Daisy, because I need something for her to be bad at.

 

Q10. Which of your OCs is the best cook?

As stated earlier, Lilina is a good baker. She learned from her mother Laeticia. Most of my characters are at least decent cooks with a specialty dish they're particularly good at.

anyways, i'd better answer some more questions...

Q17. At what rate do you tend to create OCs? How has this changed over time?

i'm not really sure exactly how often i create them, but every once in a while i get ideas for a new oc. this has definitely changed from five or six years ago, when most days i would go on the mii channel on the wii and make loads of miis (if they count as ocs).

Q18. Which of your OCs is your favorite, or who are a few of your favorites? Why?

i don't have a favourite - i'd never be able to decide on which oc of mine i like better than all the others haha

Q19. Do any of your OCs have pets? If not, do they want any?

i haven't decided yet if any of my characters have pets. i'd rather work on their personalities and stuff first before i do that.

Q20. Which of your OCs is the best at driving? Who's the worst? If cars don't exist in any of your universes or none of your species are capable of driving, who would be the best/worst if they did/could?

most of my characters are too young to drive, but if they weren't, logan would easily be one of the worst drivers. he'd get distracted by cake somehow, even if it was just by thinking about it, and that would NOT end well. i have no idea who would be the best, though.

Q21. Do you have any fan characters?

yup! i have an inkling character (because i've been enjoying splatoon way too much since i got it for christmas), although i haven't got any art of them yet. i guess technically tanya counts, too, because i first made her as my mayor in one of my towns in animal crossing: new leaf.

Q22. Which of your OCs is the shyest?

calvin and violet are by far my shyest characters. like seriously, they're too shy to say much to anyone, except for a few people.

Q23. Which of your OCs is the tallest?

like i said for the 'which oc is the shortest' question, any of my characters that can shapeshift are the tallest, cuz they can be as tall as they wanna be. but apart from those, logan's probably one of the tallest, being around seven and a half feet tall. 

Q24. How do you decide what to use for your characters' avatars?

i just choose an image that is square-shaped and clearly shows the character (even if only their head can be seen).

@araneko Yeah, that's fine! Private or public - it's totally cool! I should probably start doing that too, tbh... it's nice to have all of my answers in one location that I can look back on as reference, etc.

Q25. Which of your OCs likes the rain the most? Who likes it the least?

i'd say that luna enjoys the rain quite a bit. she often enjoys just listening to the rain fall down, and she doesn't mind standing outside when it's raining and letting the rain fall on her. the ocs of mine that like it the least are roza and two of my unnamed ocs (one of them has a profile on here, while the other doesn't). as roza and the unnamed oc without a profile on here are both made out of goo, getting wet can be pretty dangerous for them, so they try to stay out of the rain. the other oc that doesn't like the rain basically has arms and legs made out of blood. while getting wet isn't as dangerous to him as it is to the other two characters i mentioned, it can still be a problem as he won't be able to move his arms or legs much.

Q26. Which of your OCs is the jumpiest?

that's gotta be jasper. the poor kid can get scared by pretty much anything.

Q27. Which of your OCs likes sketching/drawing/painting/etc. the most?

cherry enjoys drawing the most, and she's surprisingly good at it for someone her age. lora also likes to draw every once in a while, though she isn't as good at it.

Q28. Which OC of yours plays video games the most? If video games don't exist in any of your universes/stories, who would probably like them the most if they did?

hmm... probably allie, lightning and melody (their friend spade can't because like i've mentioned before, he has no hands, but if he could he would). they often spend time playing video games on their own, playing multiplayer together or one of them plays through a game while the other three watch.

Q29. Which OC of yours is the least punctual?

it depends on what for, really. one of my unnamed ocs is the least punctual in general, as he'd rather sleep than turn up for something. but if it's school, then liam would easily be the winner if there was a competition or something for being the least punctual... if he even turned up at school. he often doesn't.

Q30. Which OC of yours is the most responsible?

probably lora. she's the most clean, punctual and organised, and even though she isn't the most talented out of my ocs, she still tries her best, and often encourages others to do the same.

i was gonna answer six questions to make up for not answering any yesterday, but it's getting late so i'll answer six tomorrow instead - three before i got to school (if i don't have homework), and three after school.

Q31. Which of your OCs is the youngest?

that'll be jasper. i haven't really decided on his actual age, but he's younger than my second youngest character, westley, who is only six years old.

Q32. Do you use tags? If so, what do you tag? If not, why not?

nope, i don't use tags. i'm sure i will use them eventually, but i haven't learnt how to use them yet. i'd rather try to work on a few characters' profiles first than figure out how to use tags.

Q33. Which of your OCs like to cause trouble the most?

liiIIIIIIAAAAAAAM!!! he will do anything to cause trouble or annoy people.

Q101. Which of your OCs is the best liar? The worst liar?

soon i will have enough time to answer questions... so soon. damn you tests and projects being due on the same day

i just got back from school, so it's time for me to answer a few questions like i said i would

Q34. If you could meet one of your OCs (in their universe, not ours), who would you pick?

hmm, that's a hard one... i like all my characters the same so i can't decide XD but tbh most if not all of my characters are in the same universe, so if i met one i could also just meet the others, so...

Q35. If you could meet one of your OCs, who would you pick? ...But this time, they know that you created them and you've put them through everything they've gone through (or at least allowed it and didn't retcon it), for better or worse. If your answer is the same as the last question still, how do you think your chosen OC(s) would react to the knowledge that you've been controlling their life to some extent?

that's also a hard one, but for a different reason - i feel as if a lot of them would hate me for what i've put them through, or at least mention it while we're talking and end up making me feel really guilty about it. there's lots of bad things i've done to them, from making izzy and luna meet liam in an rp (which did not end well for any of them at all, as izzy and luna ended up trying to kill liam at lest three times), to another rp where calvin was trapped in a school with a bunch of other people, and one of those people turned out to be a serial killer... and also all these people were forced to kill each other, and calvin had to worry about being the next one to be killed. anyway, i seriously can't decide on who i'd meet, because i don't want to meet any of them if they know about the many ways i've tortured them things i've put them through.

Q36. If you had to be stuck in one of your stories/universes, which one would you pick? Which one would you least want to be stuck in? If you only have one, how would you feel about being stuck there?

i only really have one universe right now, where most if not all of my characters live, and if i was stuck in it... well, it'd definitely be better than the real world. it's a lot like the real world, but there's magic, which is cool. and monsters, but a lot of them are friendly, so that's also good. 

Q101. Which of your OCs is the best liar? The worst liar?

I'd say Slamen is the best liar, since his job as a thief and spy require quite a bit of subterfuge. Even the people that know the real him and know him as a liar can't tell when he's lying or not, because there is no difference in how he speaks or acts and he doesn't have any pattern for when he lies and when he tells the truth about things, which makes him even harder to predict.

Conner is probably the worst liar since he's such a sweetheart that he just doesn't like the idea of not being honest. He has almost no mystery to him because he's just so dang honest about everything, and he quite literally couldn't lie to save his own life. You can very clearly tell when Conner would need to lie in a situation because instead of lying, he will just not say anything because he knows how bad he would be at delivering it since it would sound ultra forced and reluctant sounding. So better to not even try. XD

Q102. Which OC has the longest hair? The shortest? (in proportion to their body)

Not counting characters who don't have hair at all, Kameila probably has the shortest?? Almost all of her hair is shaved, and the rest has been magically converted into floof somehow. Don't ask how that's possible. It's the power of anime ok

Muri undoubtedly has the longest, and no one really knows its true length. She's made of some sort of shadowy material that grows as she consumes more souls, and given the number of souls she's eaten... well, she can "grow it out" to be pretty long, to say the least. But maybe that doesn't quite count, then, seeing that her hair is technically her body and digestive system and straight-up darkness. It just looks like hair!

So, Muri aside, Zhirael has tremendously long hair that pools into darkness on the floor. It's pretty rad. I might retcon that into him just having Really Long Hair that almost reaches the floor since the whole gradient hair stuff is a pain to draw (esp seeing that the rest of his design is complicated enough already), at which point he'd be about tied with Euphesme for hair length.
