Iso's OC Question of the Day

Q28. Which OC of yours plays video games the most? If video games don't exist in any of your universes/stories, who would probably like them the most if they did?

I tend to doofily name video games in my world as "clearly parody names." I actually tend to do that with a lot of real world stuff in general in my world. That being said, some of the names of the games these babies play might sound a bit weird. XD

My biggest gamers are the 3 player team of Sam, Jeremy, and Tabitha. They are the top ranked PvP team in the 3vs3 tier of the American servers for the MMO, Sector of Spacecraft. They're also one of the top ranked PvP teams in general considering how well they perform despite their ship (equivalent to guilds) only has those 3 members, with Sam being the captain. They know each other irl and go to the same school, so they coordinate very well. Tabitha is their Engineer class tank, Jeremy is their Sniper class DPS that tends to ride on Tabitha's shoulders during weird charges, and Sam is a Cyber Swashbuckler class DPH, which is a weird role technique he came up with that is "damage per heal," so he plays both roles simultaneously. One of their classmates, Celestae, also plays SoS, but since she and Sam initially hate each other irl along with the fact that she doesn't want to been seen as a "nerd" they don't really know that about her for a long while.

Gaspar is also a gamer, but he prefers more RPG style games or slower paced non-action based games. I imagine he would be big into D&D or whatever ridiculously named equivalent I end up making. My previously mentioned band also likes to play games with each other from time to time, usually playing rounds of HoO (Harkening of Obligation) and Guitar Felon.

Rei loves video games, he prefers them to interacting with actual people. He likes fast paced games, because they challenge his fast thinking skills. Jinx occasionally plays some, but she finds them really boring. She finds PvP games fun, but rages when someone defeats her and questions how it's possible. Rae likes to play RPGs sometimes. Anima would definitely play dungeon crawlers if video games existed in her world. Chev would play PvP to satisfy his competiveness.

Q1. Who was the first OC you made a profile for on Toyhouse? Why them?

Turns out it was Lenore! I think I was roleplaying her constantly at the time and just thought "why not".

Q28. Which OC of yours plays video games the most? If video games don't exist in any of your universes/stories, who would probably like them the most if they did?

Most of my characters live in worlds that don't have video games, or if video games exist they are far too busy to really play them. But I think Sam definitely is the biggest gamer, along with her older cousin (who I have yet to make a profile for) and her younger sister. They all travel and work a lot, but look forward to when they are both in the same place and don't have any big responsibilities lined up for the next few days. Then they'll just... binge game for hours at a time together. Being Pokemon trainers, they are competitive in the sense that they are driven to be the best they can at a game, but they otherwise prefer to play cooperative games together and take great pleasure in overcoming challenges together. Sam in particular is very fond of almost any kind of RPG, as she is also a nerd that likes to get in character when she plays. xD

Sam's tried to get her boyfriend in on the action, but I don't think he takes to video games all that well, and isn't very good at them. So she and her family are still besties in gaming together. :)

Definitely Benedetto. His friends in the yakuza give him all kinds of games when he meets up with them... Delgado also plays video games a lot mostly because Benedetto got him into them HAHA. They play a lot of multiplayer things together and Benedetto usually kicks his ass without even needing to try. Delgado's good at single-player, especially shooters. Benedetto's skills lay in uh... otome/eroge/etcetera games. Shh. That's a secret, okay?
Yuki also plays a lot of video games. His world is futuristic, so he plays a lot of virtual reality-type games. He likes ones that can give him a thrill and play into his adrenaline junkie tendencies.

YIKES this is late, I did a whole bunch of things today and this topic almost slipped my mind!! Might as well use that to my advantage...

Q29. Which OC of yours is the least punctual?

Hadris has canonically never arrived on time for anything. Sometimes he's hours late, sometimes he's only a minute late, but despite being an accomplished All-Conquering Overlord Hadris just can't get anywhere on time. Fortunately everyone who knows him knows this, so they know they can take their sweet time getting to a meeting/epic battle for the universe.

Kameila always comes to school late, because getting to school early is for nerds!! Bonnie tends to be late to things fairly often, too, often skipping things like class entirely just because he's too lazy and/or tired to get out of bed. Zhirael will usually try and push him to go and be a good student, but sometimes the seduction of a nice, warm bed becomes something inhuman and unstoppable. Story of my life...

Hoooo boy, the award would have to go to both Papes and Lazul. Papes is better at competitive Pokemon than you'd think, and is also fond of the Etrian Odyssey games, TWEWY, Smash, Splatoon, and loves Undertale. Where Lazul came from there were a lot of virtual reality-type games, but they play around most of the same games as Papes and then some. They fucking love videogames

Once again that would have to be Lazul. They show up late to their classes all the time, yet they seem to do really well. They show up late to almost everything tbh and the only reason they'd be there on time is if Papes is going as well and she drags them along with her. They're surprisingly good buddies!

Probably my darling Calik. He tries his best to be on time, but something always seems to keep him from making it earlier than a few minutes after the start time. Whether it's the dog from across the street that always chases him with malevolent intent or getting hit by one of the many terrible drivers that frequents his hometown... something will always slow him down to prevent his punctuality. And if you ask him about it he's usually rather nonchalant about it. "Why are you late?" "I got hit by a truck." Yeah, no big deal. He's a kid, he bounces back quickly... apparently. XD

Mark would likely always be late to everything or just not go to certain things like school or events that don't interest him if his twin sister wasn't so keen on being punctual. And she'll always kick his butt into gear so he's not slow and lazy about going places. Otherwise he'd be least punctual willfully.

Q29. Which OC of yours is the least punctual?

Probably Collin, as a moody teenager he finds time frames more relative than anything, he would not feel the need to come on time very much and just shrug it off and just not care.

Hm, I think... probably Dietrich, just because he doesn't have a lot of respect for other people and does everything on his terms. He'll show up when he feels like it, and if he's not especially fond of you, he'll probably be even later on purpose just to aggravate you.

Avery is probably not all that punctual either, but at least it's not on purpose. He sleeps a lot, and if he's molting or cold, he'll be even more sluggish and reluctant to move. He's also accustomed to doing as he pleases, being a prince, so there's rarely any consequences of being late. Even when he was going to school, his teachers rarely ever said anything if he came in late; he always seemed to do well in class regardless, and it was likely he came off as intimidating to most of them. But if he makes a prior commitment to someone, he strives very hard to be on time--it would be dishonorable otherwise.

Q30. Which OC of yours is the most responsible?

Orange is very punctual, clean, hardworking, and organized. He always tries to do the best job possible and will go out of his way to help out and do far more than he needs to. He's always on time - usually very early, in fact - and never leaves until a job is done unless Hadris comes around and tells him he needs to go get some sleep. Much to the chagrin of his co-workers, Orange tries to make sure everyone around him is being as responsible as he is, too.

30. Which OC of yours is the most responsible?

The ones that come to mind immediately are my darlings Addle and Argent. Addle is the personal guard of Princess Purity along with the rest of the royal family, so he's always on the job. He doesn't like taking breaks much and takes his responsibility for protecting the royals very seriously. He comes off as rather stiff since he always conducts himself professionally and doesn't really want any personal relationships to distract or impede him from doing his job, but he is a rather kind and considerate person behind the serious exterior. He also takes his job seriously because he has a wumbo crush on the princess, I mean *cough* her safety means everything to him. 

Argent is the Lieutenant Commander of the Aaquanixie Marshal Guard, so clearly he's a very responsible person to have gotten such a position. Even before this though, he's always been a very responsible son, student, and soldier so his family can be proud of him. He's organized, efficient, and reliable in pretty much any sense. He tends to work very hard on anything required of him and even things that he doesn't need to handle himself, but he'll always make time for his family if they are in need.

30. Which OC of yours is the most responsible?

HMM Funemaro is up there. He's super serious about taking care of his shrine and such and has a very low tolerance for, uh, people who mess around in it. Missel is another super responsible one! He runs his own shop and, when he's not doing that, he's running essentially an underground railroad to get persecuted peoples out of the city. Yeah. Gotta be responsible to do that, you know?

Noce and Deming are also very responsible. They each have their, er, charges so to speak. Noce is the gentle type anyway and he is very good at being a 'dad' figure (even though Sasha doesn't see him as one at all). Deming, as an employee to the government, has to be responsible. He's in charge of handing out missions and other such things to anyone looking for them, and also making sure to keep tabs on it.

There's no running off and forgetting you got a quest from this NPC, that's for sure.

So, here's a pretty simple question!

Q31. Which of your OCs is the youngest?

I think I have a couple of OCs that are younger, but for now the youngest character I have up on Toyhouse is Kameila! She's 12 years old, which is pretty normal for a Pokemon Trainer.

Y'know, now that I think about it, I don't really have that many OCs that are younger than 13 for some reason. My OCs tend to age with me, and as my stories become more mature I guess I just tend to be less interested in writing young children. Even when a story of mine does have children in it, they usually tend to not be very important characters.

Q30. Which OC of yours is the most responsible?

Griffin, for sure. He makes sure everything gets done, he's good at organizing  and tries to be as responsible as possible. Griffin is extremely mature and tries to act twice his age and gives off the vibe of maturity. 

Q31. Which of your OCs is the youngest?

Collin and Mimi, while Mimi is a year older he's still cocky and moody like your average emo teenage boy. And Mimi acts like he is in his 20s or 30s, or tries to, since demons age faster age doesn't matter as much though. As a human Collin is just a baby average teenager.
