Iso's OC Question of the Day

I can't BELIEVE this! No question yesterday?! On Christmas?! This is a disgrace! It's a good thing inactivity can be blamed on enjoying the best holiday ever too hard to go on the Internet all day, or SOMEONE would be in serious trouble! This thread CLEARLY deserves better, so I'll be the one asking questions around here today! Ho ho ho!!!

Q14. How do your OCs feel about Christmas? ...or whatever other wintery holidays they might celebrate, I GUESS...

I for one think that Christmas is the greatest holiday ever created, and I'm right because of course I am! And I'm not just saying that because I gain unstoppable reality-warping powers on Christmas to spread Christmas chaos cheer! The cookies, the gifts, the caroling... it's just the best!

So watch your tongue, Grinches and Scrooges... I'm watchin' you.

Q13. Which of your OCs is the most exuberant spender?

Chev and Hystery spend a lot of their money on books for their library. Queen Cadence spends most of the royal budget on stuff she wants but the kingdom doesn't need.

Jinx really loves Christmas, even though she doesn't have many friends or family to spend it with. One of her favorite things to do is be Santa and leave gifts for people who can't afford them. She knows exactly what they want because of her powers, and it makes her feel a little better about having them. Clara likes to spend the Arcadian equivalent of Christmas with Brooke and Caelin, because they all love spending time with one another (except Caelin lol). Clara likes getting Brooke's gifts because Brooke always knows what Clara wants. And Brooke likes giving gifts to her crew.

Oh Lord Dalia, don't even mention that holiday... I can speak for most of the people of the Eternity and say you don't celebrate Cringlemess or Crustymist or whatever it's called unless you're from Taliac where it's actually a holiday. I only know about it because Jack told me, and I figured I'd get my Gal a Christymoss gift. Of course, I don't actually know when the dang holiday is, and the time difference from here to there is a bit difficult to judge. Ended up giving her the gift maybe seven months later... and the darned thing ended up summoning rude aliens every ten minutes or so, so I suppose it wasn't a good gift to begin with. SORRY FOR NOT DOING MY RESEARCH.

Anyway, I'm a little bitter about the whole thing. Especially since it's just an excuse for Isaac to chase me around with mistletoe...

Q15. Which of your OCs is the stingiest with money?

This one's kinda hard since the OCs I have up tend to be pretty careless with money or they're just not really... stingy, per se. I guess I'd go with Barazia? He's extraordinarily wealthy, but he's also extraordinarily greedy and doesn't like to part with anything he owns even if - like money - it doesn't have any other purpose.

Q15. Which of your OCs is the stingiest with money?

King Rory doesn't like to spend money on anything, even if it's for the kingdom. He's really cautious and anxious about the survival of his kingdom, and he thinks spending or giving too much money to the people will make them too dependent on it. John Smith is really greedy and doesn't like to spend any of his money, and only does it if he really needs to.

Q15. Which of your OCs is the stingiest with money?

I'd have to say the stingiest would be Gretchen here. She's afflicted with the curse of greed, so she likes stealing stuff and money from other people and then never actually doing anything with it besides hoarding it. She doesn't like spending when she doesn't have to and will come up with convoluted schemes to get around payments or whatever to get what she wants. The police are currently looking for the culprit of a huge number of thefts, whether it be shoplifting or pickpocketing, but no one's been able to trace it back to her yet.

My darlings Derek and Alec are also a bit stingy, but that's only because their family is rather poor and the house is a wreck, so a lot of instances of them being cheap can be boiled down to, "Why would I buy (insert product here) when I can save it for fixing (insert whatever is breaking down in the house) instead?" Derek's a little more practical about it, and Alec tends to skimp in weirder ways. "Dude, I can't even buy a stick of gum, why would I be able to pay for new windshield wipers? Now if you'll excuse me, I need to hunt down that squirrel across the street so I don't go hungry."

Q10. Which of your OCs is the best cook?

That would have to be Ulti. He DOES run a bar & grill, after all. He's pick up many recipies and such throughout his travels. If he was a bad cook, he wouldn't get many customers, either.

Q11. Which of your OCs is the laziest?

I can't really properly answer this question, since all the characters I have on here are very active in adventuring and such. So the question isn't really who is laziest and more of who is least active. As such, I'd sy it's Minera. Between exploring planets and while the ship is in FTL travel, she sometimes just chills out and plays her guitar.

Q12. Which of your OCs is the shortest?

The shortest OC I have on here, so far, is Minera. She's about 5'2".

Q13. Which of your OCs is the most exuberant spender?

That would probably be either Ulti or Arith. Ulti basically has infinite money and can buy whatever he needs, which he usually spends quite a bit on projects, supplies for the bar, and just general things he likes. Often times, though, if he can find it himself and get it for free, he will. As for Arith, she has a thing for exotic cars, fancy house, and lots of weapons. That's quite a bit.

Ulti and Arith are both fond of Christmas, since they grew up with it. Apoc Man has heard of Christmas as a pre-war belief. Minera is a Novakid, not a human, so she has no idea what Christmas is.

Q15. Which of your OCs is the stingiest with money?

Apoc Man would probably be the stingiest if the wastelands had a monetary system. He's already very conservative with spending his bullets, always going for one-hit kills when he can't avoid conflict altogether. He can be a bit stingy with bartering/trading supplies, too.

Edit: Whelp, links went wierd for me, but whatever. My character links are there somewhere.

 Q15. Which of your OCs is the stingiest with money?

Probably Kia. I'm not saying she's poor, but she's poor. Was raised in a poor family, then got some wealth, then got it all taken from her again and had to conform to the wishes of a thieving guild to get any money at all. She's currently a thief herself and has to pay off the bounty the guild lifted off of her head, but it's not an easy thing to do while at the same time surviving if they insist on taking 95% of the haul she gets. One day she wants to be rich and live in a mansion but right now that's very unlikely, and the fact that so much of her dangerously acquired money gets taken from her makes it a touchy subject.

Q16. Do you use the links feature between your own characters? If not, why not?

I do! I really loved Charahub's linking feature so I REALLY love Toyhouse's linking feature since it doesn't have a teensy-tiny character limit, doesn't cut off the bottom link, and lets you see both sides of the link at the same time. I use links not only between my friend's characters but between my own characters as well so that way I don't have to write about like every character in each character's bio or anything like that. I wish there was like... a little number next to the links button that let you know the person actually has links; so few of the people I've seen use links so I kind of just stop checking even though there are some people who do use them.

Q16. Do you use the links feature between your own characters? If not, why not?

It really is a good thought it my opinion, I've been meaning to use more links recently since my main profiles are largly uploaded. I think it's nice to see character relationships because it really shows more of a story with the character I think, it alsk keeps a profile less cluttered and helps people who read profiles some really nice insight on character relationship. But to be honest, probably the reason I have trouble with it is that I never know what to write for them, how in depth should it be, should I be writing as an observer or the said character. I am probably going to go and do more links after posting this but still have my own issues with writing them :')

Q16. Do you use the links feature between your own characters? If not, why not?

I haven't even set up my profiles proper, so I don't even know what the links feature is.
