Basic Description
An additional sect of the humanoids created by the Godfall of Krievy, [Taur] and their histories and cultures are as varied as the creatures they have formed under. Being formed out of the life who later on devoured the blood-soaked grass or drank the tainted water of the region, the [Taur] is the smallest group of creatures afflicted by the Anthromimesis.
Biological Notes
[Taurs] of all kinds are a relatively unstable people on a genetic level, thanks to their connection to Anthromimesis, like all other animalistic humanoids. The various animals linked to genetic lines, restrictive in which can breed, are connected to the natural world they inhabit. [Taurs] take on a wide range of forms, as described below.
- Merfolk: Ranging from small tropical fish and crabs, to truly colossal octopi and whales, Merfolk are both the most widely spread of the [Taurs] in both dispersion and genetics.
- Gorgon: With a Petrifying Venom or Crushing Muscles, Gorgons carry their snake heritage powerfully as they stalk silently though the dungeons and cities that they deem home.
- [Centaurs]: Bovines, cervine, equine, and more. [Centaurs] are experts upon the land as they wander with almost an entire collection of organs.
Social Notes
- The various names of [Taur] are typically very unique from cultural source and personal beliefs.
- Merfolk are known to change names frequently. Each is based on feats performed, traits gained, or events experienced, and typically stand at three or four words long. Examples include 'Light-From-Depths' or 'Dance-Above-The-Waves'.
- The most dangerous of the [Taur] subraces, Gorgons are a typically solitary group as they tend to avoid the rest of humanity. It should be noted though, that Gorgons have been known to remerge into society every now and then.
- [Centaurs] are the most known of the [Taurs] despite their middling numbers. This is mostly because of their closer history and general friendliness to the rest of Humanity.
