PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
- A blindingly bright hole in the world, vaguely in the form of a barn owl
- Appears to have diprosopus; its three dark eyes see all
- Often hovers in midair, doesn't need to flap its wings to fly
- Rarely speaks, and when it does it uses short, cryptic phrases
- Its voice is hollow and startlingly loud. It does not need to open its mouths to speak.
- There are dark teeth inside both its mouths, but it rarely opens either of them.
- It can produce a deafeningly loud screech from both its throats, the sound of which resembles a barn owl's.
- It only does this if it is displeased.
- Its "feathers" have a consistency almost like fog, and often drift or trail behind anything or anyone that touches them.
PERSONALITY
- Eclectic, spontaneous
- Bad at respecting physical and emotional boundaries, often makes people uncomfortable
- Quick to judge, quick to anger, slow to understand
- Has no awareness of when it's overstayed its welcome, inserts itself into situations it has no business being in
- Fears what it doesn't understand, would start a witch hunt
LIKES
- Watching, listening, observing from afar
- Bright lights, which can mesmerize it for long periods of time
- Deep fog and heavy snow, when everything is white and still and Wormwood vanishes against the backdrop of the world around it
DISLIKES
- Most things it's unfamiliar with
- It can be made to understand something it doesn't know about, but it can be a Herculean task to get it to that point
- Heavy wind and rain, which disturb its "feathers"
- Being ignored - it's perhaps the fastest way to make it angry
PERSONAL INFO
- Claims to have come from a star
- Usually holds very still
- Tends to leave tiny glowing specks of light wherever it goes
- Doesn't need to eat, but can't resist devouring any uncooked bread dough it sees
- Attracts moths at night and flies during the day
DESIGN NOTES
- Its appearance is variable - it can be drawn with different limbs, wings, tail, etc.
- The chromatic aberration is not necessary
