Sergei

a gentle, timid, and a little paranoid young man. sergei hails from the same hive as hommes, and is one of the few survivors of the drone slaughter that hommes escaped from. the two were fast friends, perhaps lovers. he was always the smallest, the weakest, unfit for any hive. by all means, he should have been slaughtered, but… make no mistake. what sergei lacks in brawn, he makes up for in sheer, unfiltered will and wit. with everybody’s back turned, sergei wormed his sleazy little way out of the hive, and sprinted right out of volucrit as far as his wings would carry him. 

but sergei did not fault hommes for escaping. he cannot deny he would have done the very same, had the situation been his. even to this day, while he is escaped and frail from the damage done to him, none are aware of his cunning. he made his way over to fogmere eventually, and to his great relief and surprise, found hommes there.

he has reconciled with the man now, living relatively carefree in this new and curious world. with its dwellings of stone and high speed vehicles. but he will manage, as he has always done. after all, who suspects tiny defenseless sergei of anything? he just sits there, looks pretty, and plays his little games that hommes got him. whatever could he be up to..? a daydreamer, with the patience of a saint. only the most observant of people can tell there is… something up with sergei, something in there that was deeply disturbed, through a desperate desire for survival. this world should be grateful it is hospitable.
