As we all know, life doesn't stop after your 20s. But it's not too common to see characters who are 30+ Show me your characters who are a little older then the norm.

- Are they content with how they're living now? - What do they think of who they were in the past compared to now?

Rules:

-No immortals. I mean characters living a lifespan.

Reposer

Got a couple, though many of mine are on the younger side.

Mordau is 45 years old - a decorated knight who's been afflicted with a curse.

Azaric is 36, a deserter from the army turned assassin.

And Eisalin...is a technicality. She's an undead from a millenia past, though her body's age is only 19 :P

Amadeus Vampyrhaus

It's unknown how old Amadeus really is, but he's roughly around the ages of 35-40.

Dr. Daniel Cain M.D. Trickstyr

Daniel here is 39, getting close to being middle aged. He's not my oldest character but he's the most relevant and developed of my older characters.

Danny is a psychologist and is the legal guardian of his younger cousin, Dylan, working to try and rehabilitate him. Danny loves his job, even if Dylan is probably the most infuriating patient he's dealt with over the years. But it's something he does with a passion to help others and make their lives better. He is also quite content with his life nowadays, having left his past behind him to better himself by helping others. As a teen he was a troublemaker, part of a few gangs, did some really bad things, but once he was offered to join Theta, he started turning his life around and now he is where he is now, the Lead Psychologist of Theta, pretty damn rich as well, and with the power to help others.

Shun ☀ the haze layers paperflesh

This warlike, life-hardened woman is content with her fate, although something cannot be changed due to the strict rules of her country.

Emmett WhiteCross OPIATHE

He is around 30? He looks pretty young for his age for some reason?

Julia Wright/Henry Newman Cliodna

H/J was 35 at the start of their roleplay, pushing 42 by the end of the "medieval fantasy subplot" (and then being dropped back to 35 as they got back to their original body and original realm). They were quite comfortable aging during the "medieval fantasy subplot" as they felt that the graying hair and beard gave them a sort of gravitas that aided with the role they were trying to fulfill at the time. They'd probably have been fine aging in England as well, though would've missed their more idealistic youth.

Christine Anderson is 34 and doesn't consider herself old, nor think of herself as being much different than she was in her 20's, the main differences being that she's had to take on more financial responsibilities since the death of her husband and that her son is old enough to be more-or-less independent by now.

Dr. Yis Rooves is 40 but never got developed far enough for me to know what she thinks of her age. I think she's quite happy with where she is, compared to the various VR-addiction led low-points in her youth.

All-in-all I feel like the older I myself get the easier it gets to make characters who are 30+. XD It's weird thinking back on when I started roleplaying (age 11-12), since anything above 22 had felt irredeemably old and adult. I think my "natural comfort range" for characters is somewhere within 10+/- years of my own age or so. Thus at the moment roleplaying anything that's much above 37 often ends up feeling "weird" as does anything that's much below 17.

Juliet Ross Jovian

She's 45!  She still has a few issues to work out...but she's reached the point where she acknowledges them, at least, and that's a good start as any.

Otto milkywaytrain

stinky man who smells like bleach

he's a mad scientist who lives in a shack

contrary to his looks, he's only in his early 30s

Octavius sivanhe

Tavi is in his 50s!

Viviani Dawnsong corncob

viv is 35! he looks fairly youthful due to his angelic blood, but he's not an elf or anything; he's only got a slightly longer lifespan than the average human.

he's pretty naïve for someone that age, though - he was raised in a temple and lived a pretty sheltered life throughout his childhood and early adulthood. he feels like he's only just now "waking up" to what the world is really like, and only left home so to speak within the last year. he acknowledges that he had started to come into himself in his mid-twenties, but feels like he didn't push hard enough and regrets not leaving sooner. all the same, his religion focuses on new horizons and every new day being a new chance, so he tries not to dwell too much on days that the sun has already set upon, and focus instead on what he can do in the future.

(i have some others who are older - one of them is my modern-day-earth AU variant of viv, who is around 40 - but a lot of them are either NPCs/background characters who aren't that fleshed out, or they are elves, and whereas they do have a defined lifespan it's so much longer than a humans that 30+ is not really comparable for them.)

Save Nynebark

Funny monster grandma :) She’s in her late 50s, though still very capable of kicking ass

Jesse TwistualSense

Although not very developed Jesse is the definition of living his best life in his 20s. now that hes getting older he takes less time for himself and instead cares for the youth. remaining either single or open for relationships throughout most of his life I think his biggest regret would be not settling down. He was probably a wild teenager of a grease like style.

Hartlock Winry_Angelish

dis horny furry bitch boy be 41

GoodKnight

I think I have more characters in their 30s or above than in their 20s or below. At least I do for the humanoids that I use more.

Paladin is 50, but his species has a 160-year lifespan, making him relatively young. His species does reach adulthood at 18 though, so he still has more experience than a 20 year old. He spent much of his life in an isolated village, and has recently come to the discovery that most of the world he thought existed was actually a lie, and is much more modern than he was led to believe. He's still coming to terms with it.

Doc is 34. He woke up one day at around age 31 or 32 with no memory of his former life, and he ended up having to relearn a lot of basic things. He's the protagonist of a horror story so a lot of that wasn't really. pleasant.

The King of Curses is in his 40s. There's not much on his profile but he's the ruler of a kingdom with questionable methods. His wanton use of dark magic causes him to be pretty infamous. He's also known for cursing his subjects to test their loyalty. He used to be a lot kinder, and tried to follow in his father's footsteps, but ending up losing himself in his hunger for power.
