There was something that drew her to end her relationship with Dael. When he held her, it didn't feel quite right, and when he spoke to her it felt just as wrong.

Now, she sat outside a cafe, her heart beating rapidly as she checked the phone in her hand. No texts. Three o'clock. She hoped that he would be here soon.

When she left Dael, the first person she texted was Rafael. Why? She hadn't talked to him since they were kids, and she was surprised he even would want to talk to her since she had basically stopped being his friend to pursue a relationship with someone else. Yikes. She knew why she called him, because he liked her when they were young, and as creepy as he was, she still liked him. Well, she liked how interesting he was, and he grew up pretty handsome. She just wanted to get to know him again.

She tapped her foot and took a sip of her chai tea latte. She had been here for almost thirty minutes, she figured it's best to be early.. plus, she never really had a grown up... date? before. Her and Dael were just so young. She checked her phone again. Three o'three.

"Do you think you'd ever want more kids?" She didn't even think about what she was saying before she asked. She fantasized about having a family more often than she would like to admit. Not that she wouldn't love his kids already, they sounded so wonderful!

They walked for a little bit until they came upon a very small one bedroom home. It was cute, a little less than perfect with the paint peeling off the porch, but it was definitely homey and overall cute. Delana found it perfect for her, and the renter even let her plant flowers out by the front porch. "Sorry it's so small." She said, unlocking the front door and letting him in first.

Inside, you walked immediately into the living room. The kitchen was connected, only separated by the bar counter where she ate. She had a small coffee table and rug in between the couch and TV. Delana tossed her bag to the door and headed over to the kitchen. "You thirsty? Would you like some water?"

It was a smaller place than he was used to, but it was nice. Of course, his place had to accommodate three, rather than one and his boys weren't exactly petite. Still, it was a nice little place.

When she asked if he wanted more kids, the turkey blushed lightly, "I hadn't really thought about it."

He might have, if he'd thought anyone was interested in him, but honestly he figured no one was. Now Delana was maybe interested? And asking him about... Making a family? His sons were growing and it was likely that they wouldn't want to stay with him forever. More than likely. As soon as their theatre careers took off, he bet they would jump at the chance to get their own place.

"Maybe once the boys are grown..." He smiled sadly, knowing that time was definitely coming faster than he'd like. "Ah. Water would be nice."

Delana grabbed two glasses from the cabinet and filled with with ice and water, handing one to him.

She took a seat on her couch, crossing her legs underneath her and taking a sip of her water.

"I used to think about starting a family fairly often with Dael." She thumbed the rim of her glass and stared at the ice cubes floating around. "It's funny, bittersweet almost, how life just throws curve balls, and things don't always fall into place as planned." She dreamed about having kids of her own. Of course she knew that she couldn't carry and birth them, but going to have some of her DNA pulled to create a child, or going to adopt a companion child from the Academy, that would be enough for her. Though, she wasn't sure how likely that would be, Companions still being viewed as animals and all. She let out a soft, sad sigh.

She turned to look at him, "Do your boys have any shows coming up? I'd love to see one with you. It'd be more of a date than hanging out at my house. Which, sorry if I sprung that on you, being out too long makes me a little anxious."
