Adoption came easy for him. He had only made a few friends at the  facility, which overall really weren't friends. Just first encounters  with other living beings other than the keeper that watched over him and  helped make sure he was doing alright during the day.

The woman  who adopted him, was the sweetest. She was a young woman, maybe in her  mid to late thirties. Her name was Jane, Jane McKeller. Mrs. McKeller  was a widow, her husband was lost in nasty car accident not even after  five years of their marriage. She seemed happy though, at least content.  She came to the facility, not looking for just any kid. She didn't want  someone to just be around her. She wanted something special, she wanted  a friend as well as her own child. Of course "her own child" meant that  she would just "own" this child by technicalities. As far as most  people seemed to be concerned, she was just adopting a pet. To her, this  child wouldn't be "just a pet", but a literal companion. A friend and a  family member. She knew that her now deceased husband wanted children,  and this was a way to kind of.. have a child, but without having to be  in a new romantic relationship with someone who she probably wouldn't  even feel romantic for.

She opened the doors of the facility and  walked in, eager but ready to see what had awaited her. There was a  brief tour of the place, obviously led by the people who seemed to run  the show here, or keepers, and then she was led to a room, there wasn't  much in this room, a few chairs and some toys, but nothing really of  interest she guessed. Soon the door opened, and she was shocked to see  what had appeared before her.

Violet eyes met her from across  the room. The young sheep walked timidly inside the room, his hooves  clacking against the tile floor and took a seat across from the woman.  He stared at her for a moment taking in her facial features. She had a  round head and full cheeks. Warm brown eyes the shape of almonds and  long, wavy, brown hair to match them that hung past her shoulders. Her  lips were also full, and the corners of them were pulled up into a smile  that just screamed "Hello! Let me love you!" Immediately the sheep felt  at ease, and returned the woman's smile.

"I'm Jane." She said. "it's a pleasure to meet you."

"The  pleasure is mine." Fluff returned her warm welcome. Thinking about it,  he liked that he was able to sit and talk with the potential adopter. It  made him feel a little more comfortable knowing whether or not he was  going to like the person he would be potentially spending a good portion  of his life with. "I'm called Fluff here."

"Tell me about  yourself.. Fluff?" She wasn't fond of the nickname and immediately  decided that she'd give him a real name as soon as she could. Her heart  was already set on adopting him.

Fluff shifted in his seat a  bit, thinking about what to tell her. "Uhm, well I'm a sheep.." he started off with the obvious. "I actually have to be sheared if I wanna be able to wear clothes regularly like this." He laughed. "Uhm, I like music. I can't play an instrument or anything, I just like the way music  sounds. Uh, I like Imagine Dragons.. and Bastille.. and I like some  other stuff I can't think of it all right now. I like a lot of music."

Jane  nodded, "Music is good, stuff like concerts and music festivals really  bring people together." Obviously she shared a liking to music.

He  nodded with her words and smiled politely. He was starting to like her,  she just seemed to have a warm aura. Something about her just made him  hope that she would take him home.

After sitting in  that room for almost an hour just talking and playing and just getting  to know each other, Jane had made her decision. He was without a doubt, coming home with her. Tonight if possible! "Bla- Fluff. How would like  to come home and be a part of my family?" Kind brown eyes met his violet eyes as she stood up. "I'd really like it if you came home with me."

Fluff  thought for a moment, not even catching that she almost didn't call him  by the facility nickname he had. He blinked a couple times and returned  her smile. "I'd love it!" The boys laughter made her feel warm and she stood up to exit the room. "Its decided then! You're coming home!" She laughed back with him and left to begin filling out the paper work.

Fluff was escorted out by his keeper and back to his room to pack. Since it was so early in the day still, only around 2pm he would be able to leave that afternoon. He didn't have much to take with him, just some smocks and shorts. He didn't have anything from the people he met there at the facility but he would still remember them he knew. Just hopefully they'd remember him too.

Blake McKeller buzzingbumble

After the paperwork was finalized and his new name was received they  were on their way home. From the facility to their apartment was about a  45 minute drive but it was worth it she decided. In the car they  chatted about music and what they would have for dinner that night. He  asked about other children in the area and what their neighbors were  like and Jane eagerly answered his questions to the best of her ability.

Jane pulled her Toyota into her usual parking spot at the  apartment complex that would be Blake's new home. He followed her inside  bag in hand and she led him to his room. "Now, Blake. This room right  here, first door on the left is yours. Its closest to the bathroom and  to the kitchen. My room is the last one on the very right back there so  if for some reason you ever need me and I'm not out and about I'll  probably be in there." She gave him a quick tour and sent him to his  room to settle.

In his room, Blake stared out the window,  staring at the tree that swayed back and forth in the wind. Was he  really here right now or was this a dream? He had a name now. A mom?  Purple eyes gazed around the room, a closet a nice bed with a comforter and a quilt. This place was different. It felt nice though, it felt homey.  He unpacked his bag and started putting things away. In the closet  though, he found something, a Bastille shirt! How neat! He didn't  remember her saying that she liked them though, but from taking a peek  on the back of it, it looked like Jane had gone of their concerts or  something. God she was so lucky. The sheep peeked out of his room and  looked around the corner not seeing her. He decided he'd keep this shirt  and sleep in it probably so she wouldn't' see him out in it and if she  did, he at least wouldn't be messing up the shirt or anything.

Before  he knew it, the day was over and he had his dinner with Jane, he talked  about the Academy and what it was like there and the previous building  they were at called the Facility. She was eager to hear about both  places but as soon as the clock hit 9pm she let out a yawn and  stretched, standing up and grabbing their plates and walking them to  sink to rinse them off. "Thank you for coming home with me Blake. Its so  nice having a small friend again." She walked over to him and wrapped  her arms around him. "This small apartment it a lot less lonely with you  here now." He squeezed her back and nuzzled into her neck. "Thank you  for bringing me here! I love it already."

When she tucked him in  for the night, she caught glimpse of the shirt he was trying to hide  under the blanket. "I see you found it. That was my late husband's  shirt. You can keep it though, I don't listen to Bastille often enough  to wear their merchandise."

Violet eyes lit up when she said he  could keep the shirt. "Thank you so much!" He almost hopped up and out  of bed when he hugged her. Today was quite the hugging day. Wish a kiss  on his head and tucked in nice and warm, Jane walked out of the room,  closing the door quietly behind her after saying her good night.
