Fall

Lurking in the shadows of the leafless trees, Jack always loved traveling at night time during the fall season. His eyes glowed faintly in the darkness, though it went mostly unnoticed as he traveled over the rustling leaves. The moonlight from the high above was brilliant, bright as it could be during the full moon that night. Jack, being a werewolf himself, often found himself staring up at the starry night once the seasons changed to something cooler, staring deeply into the distance when he had nothing better to do.

Leaning down to examine a smaller and thinner tree with a few dangling leaves on it, an eerie feeling was surrounding him, as if eyes were staring at him despite not seeing anyone around last he looked up. His ears twitch, still for a moment more before slowly he looked up. Acting like the wild animal he was often treated like he grew up to be. Civilized to some extent, but not to the extent that he'd be able to integrate into society with ease.

Letting his eyes adjust between the bright moonlight and the dark fog that leaked over the crunchy ground, he did see something that caused the noise (or at least he figured it did). Long, dark, ghost-like figures slowly moved through the forest, curious beings that stared at him behind trees despite some being more than twice his size. Pitch black in color, he must have passed them off as just part of the shadows last time he caught a glimpse of them. Their eyes were strange, but in their own way charming.

Shrugging it off, they werenโ€™t causing him any harm or distress, so he saw no reason to not leave them to their own devices as he wanted through the forest. He wasnโ€™t sure what he was looking for, or even doing, but he felt a need to be out that night, and enjoy it while it lasted. Soon fall would be over, and winter would take its course.
