CREACHER #78. WAYKEY WAYKEY

ABOUT

"Waykey Waykeys, a regional variant of the Shleepys, are experts at waking mahous! While they are soft and cuddly enough to use as sleeping buddies just like a Shleepy, once these teachers see the sunlight, they become the cutest and most determined little alarm clocks."

TRIVIA

1. Waykey Waykeys were originally made by a farmer on Pleasant Acres, who had trouble getting his kids
to wake up on time as their counterpart and original inspiration, Shleepys made their kids drowsy in the morning.

2. When waking a person up, they start out gently, by just emitting the breakfast smell.
If that doesn’t work, they move on to ringing their horns or bells, then loud sheep noises,
then bapping you with their hooves, and finally, if all else fails, they’ll nudge you with their horns,
until you get up yourself or fall out of bed.

3. They emit an energising aura once they are hit by sunlight.
They also seek out the sun on their own, and they will try to open blinders and curtains at sunrise.

4. They will by default wake up at sunrise but can be taught to wake up a specific hour of the day instead.

5. The breakfast smell they emit is usually eggs and bacon, their favourite foods, but it depends on what they are fed.

6. Their hooves and legs are weighted, and kinda feel like beanbags.
You can wash your Wakey Wakey in the washer just like a Shleepy or a common plush!

7. While native to Pleasant Acres, where they help farmers get up early in the morning,
they are also pretty common in Fairyland, where they help out royalty
struggling with Sleeping Beauty tendencies.
