Physical Description 

• Dorito body
• Tiny legs
• Slight hunch
• Has a bushy mane of leaves
  • The leaves are perpetually in autumn colors
• Ink drips from under his leaves
  • Ink can form a tail and other extra limbs, like arms and wings
• Wears an engagement ring on his left ring finger
• When he gets really happy, he "blooms," and flowers grow all over his mane
• Voice is soft, gentle, baritone
• Smells like a variety of plants - some scents get stronger as his emotions change
  • Normally he smells like a forest after it's just rained
  • When he gets super sappy over Roach he smells like roses
  • When he's angry he smells smoky, like there's just been a forest fire

Personality 

• Quiet and thoughtful
• Well-adjusted; has come to terms with his immortality and has generally decided to just do what makes him happy
• Madly in love with Roach 
  • He falls for her all over again every time he sees her
  • Roach makes him genuinely sappy, and he gets giggly and super cuddly
• Calm, patient; knows he has nothing to worry about or get upset over other than the literal end of the world
• Somewhat reclusive
• Self-conscious about identifying as queer; Roach keeps telling him that he has to be queer since he's attracted to Roach, who's agender, but Moth still feels like he's somehow not a "real queer"
  • He's doing some research, though, and he's wondering if he's skoliosexual
• He doesn't look too old, but the second he comes into contact with technology you'll realize he's a lost grandpa who's been out-of-touch since the 20's
  • He still calls movies "talkies" and occasionally says "swell" or "golly"

Likes 

• His wonderful family
  • His beautiful Rose is so gorgeous and wonderful and they'll always be together and he's constantly riding that honeymoon high
  • His daughter Cara is such a precious baby and she's got juuuust the right amount of her mother's - er, her other parent's - zest in her
• Being surrounded by plants
• Swing music!  It's really not his first choice for music, but he loves dancing with Roach
• Seeing his impact on the world around him
• Having some alone time to stop and think

Dislikes 

• Crowds

Personal Info 

• He can't be physically injured in any way - the only parts of him that can take damage are his hair, and to a lesser extent, his leaves
  • Even his horns and hooves are indestructible
• He and Roach have a daughter named Cara - Moth wasn't aware she existed for almost a decade (he was sitting around in a forest at the time), and when he discovered he and his true love had a family together, he was absolutely overjoyed
  • He lives with Roach and Cara now, and it's about the best arrangement all of them could want

Brief Backstory 

• Probably came from Mongolia somewhere
• Met Roach before Roach was Roach and didn't know why this kid was always following him around and messing with him
• His mother left his father and him; Moth's father told him over and over that it wasn't his fault, but couldn't adequately explain why she was gone, so Moth always suspected that he had something to do with it
  • He later grew up enough to understand that sometimes relationships just fall apart and it really did have nothing to do with him, but it fucked him up for a little while when he was young so now he's a big advocate of not having kids just to try and keep your partner around
• He wasn't born immortal; he was made
• When the years started blurring together and going by too fast for him to keep up, he responded by retreating from civilization

Trivia 

• Can control plant matter to some extent, mostly by accelerating growth
  • His plants have made extremely effective weapons in the past, but he prefers not to have to use weapons
  • He can make an entire field of grass spontaneously grow several feet and impale whoever's standing in that field
  • He can ensnare someone with vines, of course
  • ...And once he's got them held in place, he can grow a tree trunk around them to make a horrible inescapable prison
    • If he wants to let them out, he can "fold" the tree trunk open so his prisoner can move again, then return the tree to its original position (minus the body inside it) and the tree's perfectly fine
  • He can make falling seeds and leaves whirl around fast enough to actually cause injuries
  • etc. etc. and of course he can't be hurt so why on earth are you fighting the immortal
• Moth refers to Roach exclusively with she / her pronouns
  • It's an old habit, and he's tried to break a couple of times because Roach isn't female, but he's stopped trying for now because Roach's made it clear she doesn't care what pronouns he uses
• In his initial design, Moth had a mane of hair with leaves and petals scattered through it (as opposed to being made completely of leaves)
