Ifigenia Bregiannis
About
Ifigenia is an 18 year old, fresh-out-of-high school fashion designer. Despite his dreamy sort of look, he's a rather cynical, snooty person. He's quick-witted and has a rather sharp, scathing tongue, finding it easy to verbally put someone in their place, should he need to. Even so, Ifigenia isn't the type to pick on people who don't deserve it -- he actually has a soft spot for so-called "weaklings." He uses his argumentative skills to speak for those who can't, rather than to speak against them.
Ifigenia is a fledgling fashion designer, a passion that she's been chasing since childhood. She has countless sketches of concepts for J-fashion inspired lines, but for right now, she has those on the back-burner in favor of working under an already-established fashion designer: Reese Lyndon. Since Reese only works on commission, they often have Ifigenia work on sketching up concepts for the designs, and sometimes let her take the reigns and start the project herself. She's also currently trying to get into fashion school, which she hopes her apprenticeship with Reese will help her accomplish.

Ifigenia grew up to two Greek immigrant parents, both of whom were artistic aficionados. Their mother was an artist, mostly finding work in illustrating books for children, whereas their father was a fine arts professor. The couple moved around quite a bit, but settled down in the US due to Ifigenia's father receiving an offer to work at a university in Colorado. In their childhood, Ifigenia lived a pretty interesting life. Their parents were very enthusiastic about refining their cultural interests, signing them up for art and music lessons as soon as they were old enough to. They went to a Montessori elementary school and found the environment really fun to be in. Their artistic passions were definitely stimulated, and their countless hours of playing dress up with their classmates kicked off an undying love for fashion. As an older child, they spent countless hours on their family computer reading about fashion around the world, which led them to discover the ever-interesting world of J-Fashion, and specifically found themself attracted to yume kawaii aesthetics. Their closet suddenly became pastel, cute, and dream-like, much to their own delight. When they moved onto middle school, this love for fashion became somewhat of an issue for them. Transitioning from a Montessori elementary school to a public middle school proved to be a bit rough, since they were now in a totally new environment. The majority of the students at their new school found their look to be rather weird, and even their former classmates went on to go with the crowd, leaving them on their own... or at least, sort of. Sure, the majority of their classmates found them strange, but they did find themself nestled in rather nicely with the other alt kids, remaining close to them all the way up until they graduated high school. Despite their close ties to their fellow alt friends, they still felt like they had to develop a more snarky, closed-off personality in order to defend themselves from the people who ostracized them. While their friends tended to remain quiet around their bullies, Ifigenia never afraid to talk down to them and defend not only themself, but also their friends.
Present
Since graduating from high school, Ifigenia has been taking a gap year. He wants to go straight to fashion school instead of getting a bachelor's degree in something he doesn't entirely care about, so he's taking his time out of school to cultivate a fashion portfolio. He currently works under a fellow fashion designer he met through one of his friends. He hopes that the time he's taking to develop his design skills will pay off in the end.

Valerie Rutherford [ Best Friend ]
A former schoolmate of Ifigenia's and a fellow alternative kid. Since Valerie is rather meek, Ifigenia finds herself rather protective of them. They're not really one to reply to anyone in conversation, regardless of whatever is being said to them, but Ifigenia absolutely is. If she needs to jump in to defend Valerie, she will at a moment's notice. If Valerie's too shy to order food, Ifigenia will be there to talk for them. She often shows up to the flower shop that Valerie works at, sometimes with the intent to handle all the small-talk Valerie may face, since they're rather... apprehensive about it. She's always happy to defend her dear friend, finding is to be rather rewarding.
Alice Massey [ Best Friend ]
Another former schoolmate of Ifigenia's, a fellow alternative kid, and Valerie's slightly older sister. Alice is sort of the opposite of both Ifigenia and Valerie -- despite their differences in demeanor, both are still introverts, whereas Alice is a super bubbly extrovert. Ifigenia finds Alice's extroversion to be a little amusing and endearing, but has no qualms with telling her when her enthusiasm is getting on their nerves; however, Alice also has no qualms with telling them when they're being too mean or cynical. This openness is a rather large reason as to why they get along so well. In terms of their friendship, opposites truly do attract.
Reese Lyndon [ Mentor ]
The fashion designer that Ifigenia works under. Reese is a coworker of Valerie and Alice's older sibling, Gabby, which is how the two crossed paths. Although Reese's main career is working as a hair and makeup artist, she also has a side job working as a fashion designer for hire. The sisters knew that Reese probably wouldn't turn down the opportunity to get some extra help with their design business, so they immediately got her in contact with Ifigenia. He was extremely eager to take up his work with Reese, and so far, it has been a really enlightening experience. Reese is one of his biggest supporters, outside of his parents, and will do whatever it takes to help him get into fashion school.
Gabby Rutherford [ Friend ]
Valerie and Alice's older sibling and Reese's coworker. Whenever Ifigenia's around their house or the studio that they and Reese work at, she always makes sure to stop and say hi to Gabby. Like Alice, Gabby is also quite the extrovert and has a habit of totally talking someone's ear off if prompted to. While this sounds like something that'd annoy Ifigenia, she actually really enjoys having conversations with Gabby -- the two often see eye to eye on a lot of things. While Gabby is generally friendly, they have a similarly cynical outlook to Ifigenia's, contributing to how well they get along.
Valentine Harvey [ Acquaintance ]
Alice's girlfriend. She and Ifigenia haven't really talked much, since they find her to be a little bit too outgoing for their tastes. Since Valentine is a self-proclaimed matchmaker, Ifigenia is afraid she'll try to worm her way into their love life and try to set them up with someone -- something that she has a bit of a track record for doing. Alice tells them they have nothing to worry about, but they can't help but feel a bit paranoid. Valentine's sister, though...
Dani Harvey-Marino [ Acquaintance/Friend ]
Valentine's older sister and Alice's possible future sister in-law. While Ifigenia is rather wary around Valentine, he thinks her sister is awesome. She's practically everything he wants to be when he's around her age, which she finds to be flattering, if a little embarrassing. The two have only really interacted in passing, but Ifigenia really hopes they'll have the opportunity to connect more.
