About
Angelique Kariuki, better known by her nickname Angie or stage name ANGEL, is an upbeat, peppy pop idol. She's super sweet and outgoing, whether she's on stage, in an interview, chatting with fans, or even chatting with her loved ones. Many celebrities fake their positive personalities for good publicity, but not Angie! She's always authentic in everything she does -- she doesn't like to act or fake anything, it actually makes her feel bad. Everything she does comes from the heart, which surprisingly makes her pretty blunt. She doesn't mince her words and is very honest with people, which sounds like it can lead to some feelings being hurt, but since Angie is such a positive person, she never really has bad things to say. Even if she has to say something brutally honest, she'll always give possible solutions for how to fix whatever she's giving her input on.
In her singing career, Angie's songs are exactly what you'd expect from such an cheerful girl -- they're upbeat and typically discuss lighthearted topics, such as love, friendship, family, and other things like that. People pass her songs off as "silly love songs", but Angie doesn't exactly care -- she writes and sings about whatever she wants to write and sing about without a care in the world. She doesn't listen to anything that isn't encouraging to her.

Past
Even in her youth, Angie was a happy, cheerful girl. As a baby, she was very smiley, even toward strangers. As she grew older, she became incredibly social and outgoing. She began manifesting her outgoing behavior into a theater career, starting whilst in preschool. All of her preschool plays she participated in didn't have leading roles or anything, but that didn't stop Angie from grabbing the mic from her costars and basically giving solo singing performances. Her peers found it annoying, all the parents found it adorable, and her teachers found it to be... a mix of both. Suffice to say, she grew out of that around kindergarten. Though her singing "habit" never did really go away. She would constantly hum, sing, and whistle, often unintentionally, and it would stun her teachers -- her singing voice was amazing. Her teachers would often implore her parents to enroll her in actual voice lessons, which they decided to follow through with, causing Angie to find her passion. As a young teenager, she had a singing voice that sounded like it belong to an adult... yet the songs she sang were all pretty juvenile. In her teenage years, Angie would often post low-res videos of herself covering anime songs, but considering her prodigious singing skills, she garnered a relatively large following consisting of other teenage girls who love anime. Her singing videos ended up getting her being able to write and release original music. It was entirely a hobby for her, but the fact that she was making money off of it was definitely not an issue.
Present
Today, Angie's music career has taken her pretty far. She's still writing and releasing music, but now she does live performances, be it in smaller-scale places or massive arenas. She loves her life and her career, especially because she's rather independent with her work. She doesn't have a team of people making decisions for her -- she's in control of everything. Hell, she could drop out of the music scene altogether if she really wanted to. But, of course, she doesn't -- she's happy with everything she does. Angie feels totally in control of her life, so she really couldn't be happier. When she isn't performing, she can be found playing her melodica, piano, or drums, walking her dogs, playing video games, and going out to parties.

STE☆LLA [ Rival/Friend ]
Stella is a punk-pop star with high-energy songs, but a stoic, almost emotionless stage presence. In terms of personality, they're Angie's total opposite. Stella is Angie's friendly rival, and Angie is happy to have a bit of friendly competition. She doesn't necessarily try to one-up Stella, but she does like the fun that comes with lighthearted rivalry. If anything, she considers Stella to be more of a friend than a rival, much to Stella's chagrin. Stella has a secret crush on Angie, which drives them up the wall -- they have no idea how to tell her, or if they even will tell her. Angie, though, is completely oblivious to whatever feelings Stella has for her, outside of platonic ones, at least.
