ℹ️ Basic Info

• Cherri Niwaki is a full-time, live-in maid of Hugh Forric’s mansion. Cherri lives in “The Doghouse” staff quarters on Hugh’s property with other employees. Cherri is a favoured employee and Hugh gave her special privileges.
• Cherri loves anime, cosplay and video games. She decorates her room with lots of cute toys and clothes imported from Japan.
• Cherri once lived hundreds of years ago in a place called “White Ridge”. After a magical mishap, she was displaced from time and space into modern-day Canvasville. Cherri’s innate magical abilities still exist, but she is struggling to remember how to use them.
• Cherri has a transactional relationship with Ijinks H. Iwerx. Ijinks stalks Cherri's boss, and Cherri often trades information about him for extra cash or strange magical items.

🎭 Personality

Cherri Niwaki is no-nonsense and sarcastic. She puts on a happy “customer service” persona around Hugh Forric while performing her daily maid duties. She gets annoyed whenever Hugh asks her to do basic computer or smartphone tech support.

Cherri loves anime and manga! She loves magical girls and “isekai” genres the most as she finds them relatable to her unusual situation. She plays video games in her spare time, even streaming herself to a small audience. She plays MMORPG games and is decent at competitive FPS.

She loves to attend anime conventions while dressed up in elaborate costumes - some of which are hand-made. She is able to afford expensive materials due to her high wage from Hugh Forric. Cherri’s maid outfit is a cosplay of a character in her favourite anime “Peachy Strawberry Nurse, Oh My!”.

Cherri has an unusual interest in the space-time continuum, alternate universes and multidimensional travel. She has attempted to read top secret documents from brilliant mad scientist Dr. Hans Sans Panzer, but struggles to understand them.

Cherri develops crushes on “big bad wolf” characters such as Tommen and Theta. She is far too shy to tell anyone else about these feelings.

🧬 Biology

Cherri Niwaki has some biological and behavioural traits of canines such as barking, panting, scent-tracking and sensitive ears. These traits are only expressed when it’s funny or inconvenient.

Cherri has low-level magical abilities, but has forgotten how to use them after being displaced in the space-time continuum. She can use magic-enchanted objects.

She is chubby due to her sedentary hobbies, but gets some exercise when having to clean and organize Hugh's mansion.

🔍 History 

Cherri Niwaki once lived hundreds of years ago in White Ridge with her friends Ignus, Tommen, Luxford and Kristina. Cherri was a barmaid at a local tavern.

Cherri suffered a near-death experience, and Luxford and Kristina elected to revive her with their time magic. While this magic revived Cherri, it also displaced her out of time and space! Cherri was teleported far into the future, and into another universe entirely - the Tooniverse. Cherri materialized into modern-day Canvasville, and she met the Tooniverse god Ijinks H. Iwerx. Cherri enjoys living in the modern day, but still deeply misses her friends in White Ridge. She is conflicted about trying to figure out a way to travel back, or to live her new life in the Tooniverse instead.

Ijinks used her powers to give Cherri a well-paying job and place to live with billionaire Hugh Forric. In exchange, Cherri gives Ijinks information about Hugh. Cherri finds this transactional relationship strange and confusing, but doesn’t complain about the extra money and perks from Ijinks. Cherri keeps Ijinks' godly powers a secret.

Cherri met Wayne Gates after Wayne broke into Hugh’s mansion. They share an interest in the “Peachy Strawberry Nurse, Oh My!” magical girl anime and become friends.

😎 Extra Cool Facts

Cherri Niwaki is half-Japanese and speaks Japanese fluently. 

“Niwaki” means “garden tree” in Japanese.

Cherri only wears a dog collar around her neck while working as a maid. The dog tag says “Cherri Niwaki” in fancy cursive.

You are free to draw Cherri in a different outfit. She dresses up in “magical girl”-styled clothes when cosplaying.
