| Teleportation | this ability is common to many Neyaphem, but Eris's abilities are weaker than most. Her maximum distance for a jump, or 'port', is 1 kilometre north-south, or 800 metres east-west (significantly less if she is teleporting additional objects or people). When she teleports, she leaves behind purplish-black smoke that stinks of sulfur. |
| Light manipulation (false form) | Eris is able to manipulate the shadows around her body to alter how others perceive her. It works best in dim lighting or at night, and worst in direct sunlight. When activating or deactivating the projection, she is briefly wreathed in the same smoke left behind when she teleports. |
| Agility/flexibility | being a Neyaphem, Eris shares the flexible bone structure and enhanced reflexes present in all Neyaphem. She is exceedingly agile, and has superhuman reflexes. |

PERSONALITY:
Eris is naturally defensive, and afraid of making friends. She tends to lash out at those she feels are holding her back, which has lead to her being expelled from two schools so far. She is claustrophobic, and has a fear of people touching her, because while her illusion fools the eyes, it cannot fool touch. Despite all this, she is jovial, outgoing, and a loyal friend to those who know her well. She is always ready to stand up for those weaker than her. She loves to eat Pop Tarts and drink Fanta, and always carries strawberry-scented lip gloss with her.
BACKSTORY:
Eris was born in an alternate universe, where the Neyaphem were never summoned to open a portal to the Brimstone Dimension and so lived relatively normal lives. A massive energy surge combined with the first use of toddler Eris's teleportation powers caused her to jump between dimensions and be transported to the current reality, appearing in the backyard of a recently widowed mutant woman by the name of Sara Callahan. Sara looked upon this as a blessing, and despite the child's strange appearance, raised it as if it were her own. When Eris was old enough, Sara contacted her old mentor Professor X, who offered to teach her how to better control her abilities. She tentatively accepted the offer and moved in to the mansion with the other students, taking the code name Jilaiya after an Indian bat-demon who flies through the night to drink the blood of innocents.
All Neyaphem currently on Earth are related to Azazel one way or another. Azazel is Eris's biological father, making Kurt her half-brother.
NOTE: since her illusion does not alter her clothes, her outfits are interchangeable, so you are allowed to draw her 'normal' form with her X-Men uniform, or her 'mutant' form with casual clothes. Either way, she keeps the earrings and gloves.
