[Related] Aniki's mother. Charlotte worries she may be too harsh when it comes to training her son, which is why she encourages him to not be afraid to be himself. However, after seeing his... "OCs"? She can't help but wonder if he got it from his father.
[Related] His grandfather. Frederick will oftentimes come by to help him learn how to properly take on the Nightingale title but... half the time he isn't sure what that boy is talking about.
Through a series of unfortunate events Nicolas found himself dragged into the chaotic and messy duo that is Annie and Aniki. He finds Annie to be annoying, honestly, but nice to rant with now and then. As for Aniki, he has to admit, that guy is one hell of a writer. They'll often do art trades, with him trading art of Aniki's Sonic characters in exchange for fanfictions of him with one of his anime wives. It's a peaceful cycle.
Where Annie doesn't quite have much spotlight on her livestreams, Nicolas does. They met through an anime website and talk now and then. Were there instances of hacking him in order for her to be noticed? Well, you'd have to ask her brother.
[Related] Annie's grandfather. There are times when he wishes to teach Anna some form of self-defense, perhaps take her out on one Nightingale mission, but she seems more enthusiastic about watching a... a free marathon?
[Related] Freddy's granddaughter. Annie sees her grandfather time to time, but he's more there to visit Aniki. He's an intimidating man that sometimes makes Annie want to avoid talking to him altogether, but in the rare moments she does talk to him she tries to explain anime, to which she's given a blank, maybe cold, stare.
[Related] Annie's mother. Even after having a second child Charlotte has never gotten the hang of being a doting mother, so more times than she likes to admit she ends up being colder than she means. She tries to prove her love to Annie by buying her gifts, which seems to work. Although it appears her daughter has inherited her desire for solitude...
[Related] Charlotte's daughter and youngest child. Because of this Annie wasn't in line for the Nightingale's position, but was fine with that. Her mother can come off as cold and distant, but will often try to make it up by buying her video games, which she is also fine with.
[Rivals/Friends] Oda is a prominent Yakuza and therefore will always be hated by Taka. If he could he would have killed the old windbag ages ago, but it's not always that simple. The last thing he needs is a gang war, so the two mob bosses usually end up talking and getting drinks. Sometimes, however, Taka can't help but get into bar fights with Oda when he gets teased a little too much.
[Rival/Friend]
"The boy's got some mighty guts! A kiddo like him would be great for the clan. Unfortunately, he's too wild for me to tame."
He doesn't care if Nobutaka is a mob boss. The fact that he conveniently appears so often for him gives Mogachan the opportunity to tease and heat up the boy by poking fun at him. However, he admires Taka's tenacity and gives alot of leeway to what Oda controls.
At some point you might consider him at Oda's friend, but Mogamachi takes him as more of a rowdy, stubborn child that needs to be straightened up.
[Rivals] Ma Fia and Taka's gang often fight for spots across the map, though both bosses seem to run into each other often in good ole New York. No matter how much shittalk Taka throws, he always ends up getting his ass handed to him by the old lady.
[Rivals] Even despite his successes as a boss, Ma Fia sees Taka as little more than a kid trying too hard to fill his daddy's shoes. Humors his big talk and gives him a proper beat down each time, finding his attempts quite entertaining, as long as he doesn't cross any lines..
Daniel doesn’t know exactly how he got in this situation, but—for him—it’s very worrying, especially considering how badly he feels he -has- to avoid angering either Armageddon or Mr. Shrimp! He admits that in terms of quality Mr. Shrimp’s dishes are unrivaled, but he’s having trouble getting used to the idea of soup instead of chili and it shows...
He and Armageddon are in the same band, but he doesn't trust him as far as he can throw him, ESPECIALLY around Tulip.
"Hey Army, your new girlfriend's cute. I'm gonna ask if she wants to join us one night, yeah?"
"I don't care if this shrimp turned hot - if he can't get what I need then I deserve to cook him!"
Revere is a man that wants the world handed to him, so living in a castle with servants catering to his every demand... is hell. Every day - every HOUR - Mr. Shrimp finds himself with seemingly impossible orders for treats of snacks that he's expected to have ready within MINUTES. The worst part? As soon as he's done cooking Revere will change his mind. And when he doesn't? He finds a way to ridicule the food. If he weren't the king's beloved he would have used his butcher knife LONG AGO.
With both Mr. Shrimp and Dudley learning how to be human and having known each other in the waters, Mr. Shrimp takes care of him like one would their child. Dudley respects him like a father, though it is an incredibly wavy father-son bond they share.
Mr. Shrimp has been human for a fraction of the time Dudley has, yet he knows more than the crab about what's right and wrong! He doesn't know what the hell is going on in that crustacean's mind but he'll try to get him on the right path!
... Maybe it's because Dudley didn't have a strong parental figure...?
Taka doesn't know why the hell Birdbrain is so smitten with someone as below average as Ethan, but that just makes things easier for him. He'll use Ethan any way he can to ruin the Nightingale, from trying to win him over to even resorting to torture.
At least until he gets his own love interest.
Ethan's not very aware of the rivalry between Freddy and Taka. He doesn't even know who Taka is, just that his restaurants are nice to eat at for the few occasions he can afford to. He just finds it weird that the owner of those restaurants would be especially nice to him. Maybe it's to make up for the plenty of times he's gotten food poisoning there...?
"HECK YEAH ALWAYS COOL TO MEET A FAN WE SHOULD PLAY A ROUND SOMETIME MY DUDE"
"That's my goddamn hero holy shit."
[Love Interest] One day Arm was buying ingredients to cook for the band (and get away from another one of their lovefests), and as he reached for a box of panko breadcrumbs his hand brushed against someone else's. He met Tulip and the two began to share recipes and ideas, and for once Arm found someone who shared his excitement over the same thing. He's absolutely smitten with Tulip, but has absolutely no idea how to convey it.
[Love Interest] Who would have thought that going for the same box of breadcrumbs would lead to meeting someone with the same passion for cooking as her? Tulip was ecstatic that she met Arm, and he's the first person she goes to with any new recipes. She wonders why her heart beats so fast when she's around him, though...?
Now Terry knows he can get real tired, and he knows there have been times that he's just blacked out and gone on auto-pilot mode. But he draws the line at being told he wears a fox mask and does handstands. He needs to get to the bottom of this, and that DOESN'T mean sleeping a full 8 hours.
Tori absolutely loves possessing Terry. The guy is so tired and boring but has so, so, SO much potential to be fun! And to be a teacher to little kids? Little chaos-bringers? What better body than that??
Nikolai finds Tori to be a rather annoying nuisance. What's worse is that the energized brat likes to mess with Eri, so Nikolai does well to remind him of just how dangerous Sloth can be. He's come very close to crushing that damned mask several times.
Although Tori is considered a minor god, his powers don't compare to the original emotions, otherwise known as the Seven Sins. And of all the people to blockade him, it's the lack of all emotion, Apathy! Nikolai only seems to involve himself in Tori's shenanigans when it involves Eri, so the deity does his best to steer clear of them for fear of being destroyed.
Tori is a mischievous spirit that's excitable and always looking for attention. So, naturally, Lan dumped him on Aradaio's doorstep. Just when the reaper thought he could relax in his form of retirement, he found the kitsune coming often to try and get him to do things he claims are "fun". Someday Aradaio will teach him how to find enjoyment in relaxing, but that is a long ways from today.
Tori is about as old as Aradaio but you could hardly tell with their different maturity levels. While the reaper is distant and resigned, Tori is outgoing and ambitious, and he often tries to spread this to the man, only to be forced into a meditation session.
An interesting thing happened back when Lan had granted emotion to all life. They had mixed and mingled to form new emotions, yes, but he hadn't anticipated the creation of a playfully chaotic being. Mischief and trickery was what he claimed to be, saying that he was the rush of enthusiasm and excitement that came with living. An amusing man with promise, Lan allowed him to spread his own powers through the world. He can be quite a handful at times, though...
Tori regards Lan as a higher being in every possible way, but often treats him as one would talking to their boss. He respects Lan and is grateful to be allowed to roam the earth at his leisure, but sometimes he wished even darkness could lighten up once in a while!
Tori-kun is someone special to this Tengu. Personally he'd want the fox to stay by him the whole time but he doesn't want his lover to chained to him thus allowing him to do what he wants. Sometimes Masayuki would have to step in when Tori-kun's devious nature gets a hold of him.
Masa-chan is always so serious and peaceful, running his strange tea business and realty job. And that mask is always hiding most of his face! Tori's been trying for YEARS to make him have fun or to even try to possess him, but the longer he spent time with him, the more he began to fall for the silliest emotion of all: love.
Like the Tengu, Torriku is just another demon that likes to hang around his shop. He doesn't particularly do anything about it except get pestered on, but whenever the rabbit is starts to get irritated he'll start to bring out the hammer.
Tori likes to hang around Kon's shop. He doesn't even eat there, he just loiters and tries to make Kon's job even more stressful. He enjoys possessing each customer Kon looks at right when he looks at them just to tease him.
Assassins are rather silly in Smiley's opinion. Getting paid to kill people? Before they can be happy? Even if that makes the other person happy, there are better ways to make everyone smile! Someday he hopes to catch Charlotte again and be able to properly teach her the alternate methods of fulfilling someone's request.
During an assassination attempt Charlotte found herself in the same place as the infamous Smiley. She had thought he was like the Nightingale - a family of killers - but when she saw him she was met with an overwhelmingly inhumane bloodlust. Whatever he is is certainly not human, and she trembles at the thought of having to meet him again.
[Related] Sometimes it's hard for Ethan to have a daughter he's not biologically related to, but that never threatens the love he has for her. He cares about her and having her changed his life all for the better.
[Related] Although Ethan isn't biologically related to her, Charlotte considers him her father. She loves him and is very grateful for him, especially the moments where his kindness balances out Frederick's strict teachings. Ethan can be a bit pathetic at times, so Charlotte tends to be more protective of him than he is of her.
Nikolai's always been drawn to the strong, serious types. He loves teasing Charlotte and gossiping with her, although sometimes he feels he's the closest she has to being girly. He tries to help her hone her skills of seduction, but it seems that all that's done is accidentally charm her. Now isn't that quite the pickle?
Charlotte regards Nikolai as a close friend, if not her best friend. She's not usually fond of the flirtatious, sleazy types, but something about him draws her to him. She initially went to him for help learning how to be an assassin capable of using seduction as a skill, but his lessons were so... close that she's found herself swooning, whether she wants to or not.
Cameron never thought he'd see the day Freddy would buckle and have a kid. He wasn't sure what he was expecting, but he sure as hell didn't think the kid would be EXACTLY like Freddy! It's almost scary.
Being Frederick's closest friend, Cameron is like an uncle to Charlotte. He's always trying to make her laugh and smile but unfortunately fails. She does respect him, though.
Yet she can't help but wonder why he doesn't age when her parents do.
