Alcott Northwind

Steak is the best dinner, hands down.
Adrien Garcia

Chili is the best dinner, no contest.
Jackson Rivers
renard

"Stop it, get some help - BUT NOT HELP FROM ME."
Allegretto ([The Tyrant AU])

How curious that he looks so similar to his queen. That's the only thing about him Allegro finds interesting, however.
the inquisitor

"I’d call you a snake, but that would be an insult to reptiles."
Cecilia Northwind

For Terry to be close friends with a math PROFESSOR! What luck on her part! But... he looks just as dead tired as Terry does!!
Glen Shields

Heh heh heh, Terry got himself a student teacher, huh? Glen can't tell who to feel sorry for. That girl wants to teach math, too? Oh no, he definitely pities her the most.
Terry Lovejoy

Just when he thought he had enough going on with work, they give him a student teacher. Why him of all people? Cecilia is so naive and green, believing Hollywood has any sort of accuracy with school life. If she thinks she can be that person to change the world within her first month then go right ahead. Annoying as she is, though, Terry's sure to help her when things are getting bad.
Cecilia Northwind

When she found out that her mentor teacher while she student taught wasn't her dad but instead a disheveled, exhausted zombie of a teacher named Terry, she thought it was obviously a mistake!! She thought her time teaching would be the absolute worst and kept bracing herself to do it for the kids, but the longer she stayed at the school the more she realized that Terry, despite his pessimism, really was experienced and wise at this. She's grateful to have learned under him.
Veritas Memoriae

He’s a good lad I think. I mean- yeah- no one has no skeletons in their closet. An some of his are pretty damn big but… He’s nice to me, he doesn’t- I feel bad for him. How can I not? Two folks with the same sorta shit. I liked to think I was the only one dealing with this, but I spose misery loves company. An I ain’t one to push people away
Jackson Rivers ([Older - Spymaster])

That may be a young-looking guy, but that's all he is: young LOOKING. Jackson's been around long enough to know when there's more to it than that, and he sees the same kind of pain he feels in Veritas's eyes. If he doesn't want that immortality, maybe he wouldn't mind letting Jackson have it?
Vy

Working in the upper ends of the Afterlife, Vy had heard all the commotion about the angel that refused a position. It's honestly not that surprising, not the first time, either. Being a reaper, though, now THAT'S a first. It intrigues Vy, but he doesn't put too much focus on it, especially when he's busy looking for his missing coworker.
Mori

Mori found it interesting that he was an angel working in the lower sectors of the Afterlife, and Vy was a reaper working in the upper sectors; they were opposites. Even in personalities were they opposites. Would he have kept up that optimism if he went through the same thing...?
Mori

He saw her that night. If only she'd intervened...
Barb

She knew. She knew what had happened and why he's a reaper. Had she not been preoccupied searching for the missing GRIEF reaper she may have stepped in. Or perhaps she was curious about what answers he would find.
Gustav Alkaev

That guy gives him the creeps, always staring at him and the others. Why would any angel possibly want to work as a reaper, anyway? Reapers have less benefits that guardian angels-- or any Heaven position!
Mori

So that's the fate of fallen angels, desk jobs. Perhaps once Mori would have enjoyed that, even with how much Gustav gripes about it.
Hopper Greene ([King Hopper])

Oh, he is so scary.
Mutt Damon

Oh, he is so scary.
Ad Mann

How much money has he scammed out of Dennis? How rich is this guy?? Honestly, he could be set for life tricking this guy alone!
Dennis

He's not aware of the man behind the ads, all he knows is that his phone has been locked and he needs to click on the link to get it solved!
Cliff Northwind

[Related] Ash is the second oldest among the siblings, so she and Cliff have known each other a long time and have a strong bond. Where she tried to avoid the fights between their parents, he firmly defended their mother and condemned his father, and her not choosing a side felt like a betrayal to him. He doesn't like how she's trying to be open and give both sides a fair chance when it's obvious who was in the right and who was in the wrong.
Ash
Cecilia Northwind

[Related] Cecilia thinks her older sister is so strong, reliable, and cool! She was so sad when she left, but that time helped her to focus on her own path in life. With Ash back, she's even cooler and more reliable! She feels like she can go to her for advice or to rant about life. Sometimes she secretly hopes Ash will beat up the people she doesn't like.
Ash
Alcott Northwind

[Related] Alcott's oldest children leaned more to their mother's side when the troubles started-- she made sure of that. It stung to see them view him so badly, but he felt it would only make things worse to talk with them over it and drag them into unnecessary drama. He regretted it when Ash joined the military, and though she's back now he can't help but keep an awkward distance, unsure of how to handle it or if his kids even want a relationship with him. He appreciates that Arson's been able to get close to her, but part of him is jealous.
Ash
Quill

If anyone can understand Allegros hatred against his own kingdom, it would be Quill. He stroked that fire inside Allegro, much like he did with his own all these years. "Look at these maggots. They all deserve punishment." However, Allegros mind slipped much harder than Quill ever imagined. He lives in a delusion that they can both live happily like this, but eventually he'll realize that the eyes he fell in love with are no longer the same as this mans.
Allegretto ([The Tyrant AU])

His dearest king, so wise and clever. He knew all along, didn't he? About how rancid and foul the "nobles" truly are? He knew they would react like this. So surely he must understand why the king does what he does.
Allegretto ([The Tyrant AU])

She'll never leave. She's the only one that understands his pain. She's the only one that can save him. She's the only one that can take responsibility for what she's done. She's his beloved queen, after all.
isolde (The Mourning Queen)

“… I promise that I’ll never leave, not when I’m the cause of your pain. I am your queen, and I made a vow before the altar that I’ll be with you through thick and thin, in sickness and in health. Till death do we part, my beloved king.”
King Earle

[AU] Earle knew killing the brat would have created a powerful enemy, but he didn't account on that man going insane. He was captured and to this day suffers endless torture deep in the castle dungeons. The immortality he prided himself over for so long was now his cruelest curse.
Allegretto ([The Tyrant AU])

you. You. YOU. YOUYOUYOUYOUYOUYOUYOUYOUYOUYOUYOUYOUYOUYOUYOUYOUYOUYOUYOUYOUYOUYOUYOUYOU--
Khaso

[AU] He couldn't save En, no matter how much he wanted to. Losing him was hard, and now he has to watch losing his other son too.
Allegretto ([The Tyrant AU])

You. You could have saved him, yet you chose to run. To watch. You are a coward. A DISGRACE. You are not worthy to be called a monster. You are far less.
En Litari II

Occasionally En meets an older man named Dennis sitting alone the castle courtyard. He likes to listen to his stories, but can't help wondering who he is and why Clayton is on guard around him.
Dennis

The reapers are attracted to the prince like a moth to the flame. Even Dennis finds himself interested in En's reactions. After everything he's been through, perhaps he understands them all the best?
Aradaio

When Denial had asked Aradaio for advice on how to handle the sorrowful dead, he did not think it would have gotten this bad. Aradaio allows it to continue, though. Sometimes it's the only path some people can walk.
Dennis

It was the First Reaper's own words that gave Denial the idea for what to tell the souls he takes.
Khaso

How much sorrow has Dennis seen throughout centuries to make him start going this route?
Dennis

The disappointment in the Darkness's new vessel is not lost on the reaper. As someone who will face death eventually, would he not understand the idea of false promises? Would he not want that for his family...?
Lan Turner

What makes something wrong and right? That is not a decision for Lan to make. It is up to the reapers to find their definitions.
Dennis

The Darkness has been the only one to withhold judgement from Denial's lies.
Vy

Acceptance understands the sentiment of wanting people to pass happily and without fear, but this isn't the way to do it.
Dennis

Acceptance and Denial have never seen eye-to-eye. When life is expected to accept their fate, it is only filled with pain and fear.
Clayton

Lament used to not humor Denial in his ramblings, though now he understands the beauty of life. After the people he's met and grown attached to, however, he cannot abide giving them false hope.
Dennis

Why? If Lament has been charmed by those in the mortal realm, why would he wish to let them fear their coming death? Let them pass happy, even if fooled.
En Litari II

Sometimes En will see a lady in black roaming the castle and honestly? Scares the shit out of him.
Barb

The young prince, son of the new Darkness and favored by the other reapers. What about him fascinates Fate so? She wants to know too.
