@Judas-la-carotte's thread about underrated characters made me think about the opposite! I'm not going to use the word "overrated" because I certainly don't mean that any OCs deserve less love, but do you have any characters whom you're surprised get more attention than you expected they would, among your characters?
Maybe people pick them more often in forum games or art trades than other characters, they have more faves than you expected, or they're just the ones your friends have gravitated towards for whatever reason-- but maybe they aren't among your own favorites, or they're just not the OCs you expected would be popular.
And has that character's popularity inspired you to use or develop them more, or give them a bigger role in whatever story or project they may be in?
There are no particular rules for this thread; just be nice and don't try to make people feel bad about their taste or anything like that.

Seriously, don't get me wrong, I love her as a character but I didn't expect that she could be liked on TH as well! I had a very hard time when designing her and I'm not 100% satisfied with the result now, even I don't really plan to change it at this point. I also feel like her bio doesn't really do her justice? Idk I was a bit lazy and I just put random stuff and info that crossed my mind
But she's one of my characters with the most faves rn, haha. Not the #1, but I guess being the #6 (with a tie with Isabelle) isn't really bad when I have around 80 OCs uploaded -- I also received super wholesome comments and other compliments on the forum games about her, so I'm super thankful ♥ I'm glad you guys like my frying pan gal haha

No, not really! Maybe it just inspired me to use her more in forum games, but otherwise, the popularity of my characters on TH doesn't really influence their role in their storyline. Lilith already has a quite important role so I'm just happy that she's already a popular character among the cast c:
I'm back with Vera! She has the third most faves of any of my characters, and I definitely didn't expect that, especially since her profile doesn't really have that much of a description. I guess people really like sweet old ladies. : p But she deserves it-- she's a sweetheart, and one of my favorite characters from my comic, too.
I don't know if I'll use her any differently because other people like her-- but she might show up in the comic more because I like her!
I'm...definitely surprised that Henry/Julia appears to be my most popular character, when it comes to faves and some other indicators.
Though then again since they're the one I use most actively, and thus the one that I post the most stuff of, and they've got a lot of art of them it might make sense. Still. Considering how they aren't exactly pretty/handsome without heavy stylization and how their backstory marks them as a bit of a special snowflake (SOMEHOW got to the position of colonel, with higher-up approval, whilst crossdressing as a man, SOMEHOW didn't get caught whilst spying for the nazies, literally has two person's worth of backstory etc.) I'm surprised people seem to like them as much as they do. :D
And also because, after some research, I realized that Julia embodies pretty much every lesbian/invert stereotype of the era. Which is a bit off-putting, particularily since it happened accidentally. :P (though I guess not BAD by itself? Some people are stereotypical in real life and she's got redeeming qualities and depths in other places)
I'm still pleased though.
