I have one character that was meant to be based off of my brother but the character has changed so much now that I cannot count it anymore.
I do have characters that are named after people, mainly because I never really wrote anything down so I had to think of names I could actually remember.
Clayton's name came from one of my class mates I had at the time. The person and the character are not alike in any way apart from the fact they both have brown hair.
Duncan's name came from a youtuber from the YogsCast. Just like with Clayton the person and the character are not alike in any way but again have the same hair color.
Malik was named after some super annoying kid in my school named Malachi so of course I had to make Malik be a jerk.
Enno originally was a design for a dragon I drew for one of my teacher's son's wall and her son's name was Enno so when I decided to revive the character and redesign them I named them after the kid.
Are any of your characters based on people in real life? Not necessarily the whole character, but maybe they share speech patterns with your friend, or personality quirks with your brother, or you gave them the same haircut as a girl in your class-- I'm just curious about the little ways we put our own lives into our characters!

Many of my [ Teacher Characters ] are based off real teachers I've had. I'm often inspired by other people, so when creating characters, I tend to subconsciously base my characters around people I've met IRL!
Kip: He's base off two of my old English teachers. They were monotone, but both were really interesting and pretty funny! I miss those guys... kind of...
Ms.Bird : Based off my old drama professor and the typical "Theatre Kids" trope. She's probably the nicest teacher I've ever had, so she made a big impact on my life.
Reyes : Based off my Film Teacher and every single hipster I've seen on Instagram... Another super nice teacher who made an impact on my life, and pretty changed the way I've done my stories. If it wasn't for her class none of my stories would be like they are now!
Jackson : Based off a former assistant principle, and this one principle I had in Middle school. Though, his main inspiration was a quote the assistant principle would always say, "If you’re having a bad day, tell someone about!" Also based off a bunch of inside jokes between me and my cousin.
He wasn't inspired by her since I created him a while before she gained popularity but a friend of mine said he looked a lot like Billie Eilish and I can't help but agree lol. Especially in recent comms I've gotten of him, I think from now on I'll probably use her as a reference xD
Most of them have a little something of someone else but this girl? She has the most that I'm conscious of, she is studying the same as me, went through some downs and ups like myself and some traits of personality. But after we aren't anything alike somehow, but she is my baby, she is someone I wouldn't mind to be I guess.
