“You really think this will work, Oleander?” Florence asks setting up the candles the way the auratail man had instructed her to. 

He nods, spreading out a cloth on the table. “Yes of course, I have done this many times for others. I only wish I had thought of this sooner. There is no better way to get closure, in my professional opinion.” He smiles gently up at her. “I promise, there is nothing that could go wrong. I have had a lot of practice performing séances. Please clear your mind of worries. We must be as unclouded as possible.”

She nods and they continue with the preparations. 

Once they had completed all the set up, Oleander sits his friend at the left of the head placement and Oleander goes to the basement door and locks it. “So no one disturbs us… or finds us.” He says with a cough. “The dean isn't the most fond of this practice but that should not be a problem for us today.” 

She nods, quiet and trying to clear her mind from worry as he has asked earlier. 

He sits down across from her, in the spot to the right of the head seat. “Are you ready, dear Florence?” He asks in a low tone and puts his hands on the table, stretched out to her. “We can wait a little while if you need some more time.” 

She shakes her head and places her hands into his. “No, let's begin, before I change my mind about all this.” 

He feels her hands trembling and gives her hands a comforting squeeze. He understands how disquieting it may be to reach out to a loved one long past, so he does not resent her fear. He closes his eyes. She follows suit, holding his hands tighter as he starts chanting and calling on her Love from beyond the Veil.
