Sen sighed as the door closed. He slumped in his chair and looked at the pile of documents on the desk in front him. More work. It seemed endless. No matter how many files he went through, the stack was always there, reminding him that the day wasn't over.

It's already been three months, since he became a king. Days passed by so quick that the realisation surprised him. He never expected to have his own pride, but somehow it just... happened. He was a mere fighter, like all others he listened to orders and eradicated nightmares. He was quite certain he not once showed any leadership abilities or really anything that would make him stand out of the crowd. And yet, one day he was informed that he was being promoted. The Agency was growing rapidly with new branches sprouting like flowers in spring. He suspected that he was picked at random. They needed a man for the job, so they picked the first one they saw. He accepted, just like any other order.

When he crossed the door of his new office for the first time, he was glad. It wasn't anything spectacular, but even having his own desk was an improvement. He even felt a bit cocky, never before having people to boss around. It was during their prime hunt that he realised how much his life would change. He could no longer mindlessly chase and kill. Until now his body worked almost automatically. He knew his position in the group, he ran, he caught, he eliminated. Now he was in charge of the lives of his comrades. It was up to him to come up with hunting tactics. And after a mission, it was up to him to file the reports.
Being responsible for all of that initially scared him. It still does, really, but he learned to overcome the fear. He found it surprisingly easy to lead. He enjoyed coming up with new strategies based on the strengths of his team. He felt satisfied when they obeyed and completed missions successfully. Even the paperwork was less of a burden. And most importantly, he was happy he was making the world a safer place for all the lions, not just his pride. With a yawn he pulled himself out of those thoughts. It wasn't the time to be sentimental. He cracked his knuckles and went back to work.
