N. Jino & Pet

Jino & Pet

It was supposed to be a simple scouting mission, a pleasant walk in the park. It was noone’s territory, there should be no threats and yet. Life always found a way to complicate things.

He recognised her immediately. You don’t easily forget someone who tried to rip your throat out. He may have haunted her dream, but her right hook was causing him nightmares. Before he could decide to walk away, she noticed him and did not look happy about it.

“Wait! Wer’re on neutral grounds. Lets stay neutral. There’s no need to fight.”

He wasn’t scared. He was left unsatisfied after their first meeting and he would quite like to spar with her again, actually. But Sen wasn’t here this time to separate them if things got too intense and they definitely would. Also, there was no telling who would come out on top in this fight. She was very strong. It was fascinating, but also a little scary.

To his delight Jino had not attacked, but he could hear her soft growling. Instinct told him to respond with a roar, but he managed to overcome it and stay calm. They could’ve separated ways here to never meet again, but… something kept him in place.

“Where did you learn to fight like that?” words escaped him before he could stop himself.

He didn’t really want to admit he was impressed by her fighting and give her the satisfaction, but there it was. As he expected, a smug grin appeared on her face. She started explaining and even complimented his moves. She was fun and easy to talk to. Before they knew it they were chatting away like old friends. He showed her a couple of techniques he learned as a Constable and she promised to teach him to sneak like a real Hunter the next time they met.

That sounded nice. He wanted to meet again. Train with her. Spar, teach and learn from each other. And after all that have a chat and maybe a walk. He had not felt so comfortable or enjoyed anyone’s company so much in a long time. A little shy he asked if they could see each other again.

“Only if you can catch me” she winked and ran off, but not before tripping him first.

With a smirk he ran after her.
