Archivists

Archivists begin life as normal humans but are made immortal through a secretive process. They add one new member to their organization each century. That person is selected from a handful of candidates screened for pure intent and lack of significant connections and trained for several years before finally being chosen and anointed. They are then tasked with recording the history as it happens of the next hundred years and are granted perfect recall of that timespan. After this, they retire to the Archives and spend their time curating the massive records of all of observed history. They maintain a strict code of neutrality. Because of the god S'orah's association with memory, he is often said to be the patron of archivists and the source of their immortality.
