Literature

Books have traditionally consisted of historical tomes and scrolls dating back almost one thousand years. Religious subjects were often passed down orally and only began to be recorded in written form during the Autumn Era, although the temples of Z'man have always hoarded knowledge. Blockprint methods of book printing are a burgeoning industry in Sa'an while artistic marbled paper is being produced in Balsik.

"The Snorks" is a picture book series about sharks who wear snorkels and live on land. The author, Elithian F. Callilux, has said in interviews that they aimed to promote diversity with their writings, which explains the "Blaze the Shark with a Crooked Snorkel" storyline. They're something of a meme.
