Also written as Pasnik, a pastoral island mostly populated by sheep and goats. Their biggest city is famous for its textile industry and the fabrics from Paesnik are said to be the best quality of anywhere.
The governor is decided via election by the various guild leaders in the Big City and you have to be a guild member to qualify. The current leader is a senior member of the dyeing guild (she's alive though).
