Lagopus (Artic Fox)

The Lagopus are an interesting group of Animalian who prefer the cold arctic and can be found in two different hues, grey morph or white morph. Many stories and mysteries circulate about why this subspecies has two coat variations from simple explanations to some more fantastical. No matter the reason, the two groups seem to have always been at odds with one another even though they share the same subspecies.

White or Grey, tall or short. There are many different Lagopus in the Animalian world waiting to tell you their story if only you can take the time to listen.

Each Animalia subspecies has some unique things about them, but through their species, they share some similar characteristics. The artic foxes coat is quite an interesting story. Why does one group have a ghostly white coat and the other a steel blue? Perhaps it's genetics, or perhaps something more. If you wish to find out, well traveling to the south would be a good place to start, and if you time it right you may be able to peek in on their yearly celebration of sorts and hear the story of the coat of the arctic fox.
