Lagopus (Artic Fox) (Pous Beaufort)

Pous is a talented Animalian when it comes to combat and fighting. She used to be a member of the stabbed army, and if she went back, most of them would welcome her with open arms. However, recently she deserted the army to try to figure out where she truly belongs. A soul who wants to be strong and reliant, she often sees her struggles and misteps as terrible failures that she can never live down. Because of this she is often considered to be washy and unreliable as her fear of failure leads to her having a hard time making tough decisions but is trying her best to try to fix this by choosing only to live in the moment.

Pous never knew her parents and if the Stabbed army is to be believed, then she had been abandoned as a child by them. When this army had wandered through her town they had found her homeless and alone. Taking it apon them to care for her they took her from her town and back to Guilerme where they raised her as one of their own, or as much as their own as they could with her being a Lagopus rather than a Stigma. She learned how to wield a weapon and how to put armor on herself from a very young age and was very capable at combat, but not so much as social interactions.

The army had adopted her, not a specific Animalian and so she never really had parents. It was everyone's job to look after her, make sure she was fed, and reprimand her for her mistakes. Because of this most times, others would either ignore her and let her fend for herself insisting that 'someone else' will help her or when she messed up everyone felt the need to be the one to punish her. The mixed signals from the different forms of punishments and being constantly ignored caused her to grow up with little faith in her own decisions. She could easily and effortlessly follow someone else's orders as that's what a good soldier did, but when it came to making her own she struggled.

Although she had friends in the Stabbed Army, she also had many that she rubbed the wrong way for one reason or another. She did her best to avoid these Animalian, but being part of the same organization, she still was forced to cross paths with them from time to time. It was during one of these encounters that she got the scar on her face. The Stigma she had crossed paths with was in a particularly bad mood, and after she had messed up doing her chores, the Stigma had decided to take it upon himself to reprimand her, and his choice of punishment was a severe beating. Getting all his anger out at the same time he severely beat her up and screamed insults and profanities at her with the words hitting the hardest being about how she wasn't a Stigma in body or in soul and shouldn't be allowed to be part of their group.

Others eventually saw what was going on and managed to break things up pulling the Stigma off of her, but not before she was bloodied and defeated both in body and mind. She was taken to the infirmary to recover with her external wounds eventually healing up, but her mind was broken. Sure that she no longer belonged in the Stabbed Army she quickly packed up a bag and snuck out, deserting the army in an attempt to find out where she really belonged.

She traveled quite a ways before hearing about a town called Stormcrest. This town was said to be home to her ancestors and filled with Lagopus like her. Once she made her way there she saw that they were having a competition there as some sort of event. In her mind, she decided that if she could win any of these competitions she would stay in the town as she would be an asset to them with her superior strength. But if she lost then she would need to find somewhere else to belong.

1) if a PC (player character) wants to play as Pous her call to adventure could consist of her losing the Lagopus competition and venturing out to find out what she is good at and where she belongs. Perhaps grouping up with other adventures in an attempt to understand how and where they feel accepted/ what acceptance really means.

2) alternatively she could win one of the competitions and find that she really enjoys putting her skills up against others and so goes out to find a group she can regularly compete with to test her skills and gain praise.

If no call to action is heeded then she will lose all the competitions in Stormcrest and, about to go back to the stabbed army runs into Barents where he convinces her to join him and his group. After all, she is a gray morph Lagopus, so she belonged with them. Seeing the logic in that she joins them and follows their orders like a good little soldier. However, when Barents's group goes to take out Albus she gets killed in the battle. She dies not knowing why she was even fighting in the first place as she just wanted to be somewhere she belonged.

main outfit | her main outfit consists of a brown (with a hint of purple) sweater. The sweater has long sleeves, a long front and back, and a very large fur-lined hood. It has a off-white cuff around the arms and bottom as well as some stripes up the side of the arms, around the biceps, two stripes running down the front and one running down the back. Around her waist is a thick cord that ties in the front and holds her Stigma themed battle axe. Her pants are black and her high boots are brown with black souls and a fur-lined top. Her face has a large scare on its left side that cuts through her lip.
