Lagopus (Artic Fox) (Froid Angerbjörn)

Froid is one of the workers at the Windwall town Wall. Until recently he and the other workers didn't have to hide their repair jobs on the wall, but with new orders from high up he has to work in the dead of night as silently as he can cleaning and maintaining the great wall. This isn't his dream job, far from it, but he has found himself in need of some sides and this job was the only one that he was qualified for. He hopes that someday soon he will have enough money to get out of what he feels is a cursed town.

Forid grew up in Stormcrest and had a relatively normal childhood. He always loved visiting new places with his family on vacations and would spend as much time as he could on these trips experiencing the unique locations and activities that each place had. Once he was old enough to become independent he decided that he would spend as much of his life as possible traveling the world and experiencing everything it had to offer. As he traveled he was always able to find odd jobs here and there to help fund his adventures and although money was tight he was always able to find a way to afford his lifestyle.

Well, that was until he wandered into Windwall. Upon hearing of the large city that was the farthest point South on any map, he decided that there must be things there worth experiencing and so he headed out right away without any further research. Upon entering Windwall he wandered around for a bit seeing the large wall in the center of the town and getting a nice, but rather pricy meal before starting to ask around for a quick job so he could earn enough sides to get the food he needed for the long travel to the next town. At first, he wasn't too worried when no one had a job for him as he rarely found something from the first few Animalian he asked, but as the hours drifted by and the night grew closer, he started to panic. Every door he went to turned him away without so much as a second thought, and before he knew it night had arrived, and his pockets were empty leaving him sitting at the base of the town wall in the dark and fridge cold. As he tried to think of how he got into this situation, a Foristeri with a lantern walked up to him and asked him if he was alright.

Exhausted from all the stress he was under, Froid broke down and, through tears explained his situation to the Aves, and after pouring out his heart to the stranger, the Foristeri invited him to stay at his place for the night. The Foristeri, whose Froid learned was named Cypress, was a part of a small rather rag-tag group of Animalian whose job it was to keep the town wall in tip-top shape. After a bit of begging on Froid's part, he managed to get Cypress to agree to try and get him a part-time job helping to repair the wall just till he had enough funds to get out of the city.

The next morning he managed to secure the temporary job but quickly found that it was barely enough money to cover a room and a day's food. He spends the next few years stuck in Windwall, trying his best to save money but keeps finding any excess he has draining away for things like medical bills or clothing that isn't torn.

On his days off he will eat at the Artic Eatery in exchange for work and can even be found sometimes hanging out with the restaurant cook Alopex. When he doesn't have work and isn't lending Alopex a hand he will hang out with Cypress, the two often going fishing together in the afternoon to help save on food. He doesn't hate his job, but recently things have gotten worse for the Wall restoration team as the Historians have been forcing them to work late at night and telling others that they don't exist. The wall is simply magically restoring itself. One of the restoration team tried to argue with them about it, saying that they shouldn't have to hide their work but a few days later, they went missing causing all the other restoration members, including Forid to shut up about it and try to work in secret so that they too won't 'go missing'. If anyone approaches Forid at night when he is working, he will quickly rush off into the darkness and hide rather than trying to explain what he is up to. He doesn't want to cause any trouble and is simply trying to make enough money to get out of this crazy town. When not around his friends, he is quite a grumpy lad as he is upset with the situation he has found himself in. It is best not to approach him in the daytime as he will likely snap at you.

1) if a PC (player character) wishes to play Forid in their game, his call to action could consist of him finally getting enough money to leave Windwall and see the rest of the world. However, his experience at Windwall will make him much more paranoid about things, stingy with money, and a strong desire to research areas maybe a bit too much before going.

2) Alternitively, he could get so fed up with his situation that he decides to steal what he needs from his two friends and take off from Windwall leaving his once allies now broke. He would constantly feel as if he was being hunted from this point on and be paranoid about everything. He will do his best to hide in the shadows and may even end up stealing from others to get what he wants.

If no call to action is heeded, then Forid will spend a few more years in Windwall before Cypress and Alopex end up gifting him the sides they had been secretly saving up to help him get out of town. Although a bit apprehensive at first, he will accept the money and head out. Every now and then, he will return to Windwall with as many extra sides as he can manage to help pay back his friends and maybe help someone else out that is stuck.

Main outfit | His main outfit consists of greyish-brown pinstriped pants with dark brown dress shoes. He also has a rich brown v-cut shirt that is tucked into his pants with a golden cummerbund. Under his brown shirt is a white collared shirt and on top of both shirts is a dark grey suit jacket. He often wears a golden scarf and a black bowler hat with a golden ribbon around its base. When working he also can commonly be found with a brown satchel around his shoulder.

He is a Lagopus and has golden modern eyes.
