Kaizo is usually seen as a serious guy, but he’s actually pretty sweet and a bit of a jokester once you get to know him. He has a lot of respect for those on a higher position than him, or those who have helped him in the past, as well as anyone related to said people by blood. One of these people is Ashe, since her dad helped Kaizo and his father when they were struggling to find a place to live.

Kaizo loves Cascade like a little sister. He’s never had any siblings growing up, so he would do anything just to protect her. When he was still alive, he occasionally teased Cascade when she does something stupid. He tried to protect her as much as he can, but her reckless acts can sometimes be too ridiculous not to laugh at, especially since Kaizo always warns her that she’ll get in trouble. In death, Kaizo has found his peace and now live with his new companion and best friend Zipher.

ABILITY:

Kaizo has the power to shapeshift in order to copy the look of other people, as well as their voices. He has a harder time copying hybrids or people he doesn’t have a visual reference of. He can’t gain their powers or abilities (if any) though. When battling, he has to revert back to his true form since his strength weakens while shapeshifted.

Kaizo was very savage when he was younger due to not understanding the concept of morals since his parents never taught him anything, nor paid attention to him. His mother left him at a really young age, while his father only cared about his own needs and wants, causing them to struggle to find a place to stay. Ashe’s father helped them have a place to live in his kingdom, though it was a territory filled with rogues, which influenced Kaizo negatively. Kaizo ended up leaving Killious Kingdom to fend for himself since he no longer wanted to deal with his father’s negligence.

Kaizo sought out his own territory in Skanti Town and became his own rogue. At 15, he was already able to kill someone’s parents. He didn’t see an issue with killing. He saw it as a way to have fun. Though there were some points when he questioned what he was doing with his life, feeling like his heart isn’t in the right place or missing something, but he always pushed those thoughts away.

At 20, he met Cascade, a time when Kaizo learned to love someone else. He grew to be more peaceful and even started opening up to Cascade a bit more. She was always willing to listen to him whenever he talked about his past, or ranted about his father. Although, Cascade was never willing to open up about her past or family. She only talked about how much she hated them and how they treated her badly, but never elaborated. Kaizo wished she opened up to him more so he could comfort her properly. He often felt sad that Cascade probably didn’t trust him enough to know that he was there for her- always. Still, Kaizo didn’t want to force her to talk about something she didn’t want to. Whenever she was ready to talk, he’d be there for her.

His new friend had also taught him about hunters, which was information that helped Kaizo a lot, since he now knows there are people who aren’t afraid of him. They could even kill him if they wanted to. He developed a fear of the idea that people out there are possibly out to get him. Kaizo eventually felt that killing others felt more of a need rather than for his own enjoyment, mostly caused by his fear. Still, this didn’t make him fully regret his previous kills. Now though, he killed to avoid future problems from the enemies he’s made; he killed for his own- and Cascade’s- protection. He thought everyone was always out to get him and Cascade.

8 years later, Cascade was talking to Kaizo about her recent fight with Ashe and her friends. Kaizo thought they were going to look for Cascade someday and take their revenge, so he planned to lure Ashe’s friends by kidnapping her with Cascade, then killing them when they tried to look for Ashe. He still respected Ashe, so Kaizo had always intended on letting her go alive afterwards. At some point, he did feel guilty for his actions towards her, but felt like he had no choice. Kaizo was only able to kill Zipher before he was cornered by the rest of Ashe’s friends, and had to retreat, but not before Zipher’s sister, Lex, scarring his right arm.

A month after those events, Kaizo sought out to kill Lex. Like how he thought about Ashe’s other friends, Kaizo feared Lex and her friends will seek out to kill him or Cascade if Kaizo didn’t kill her first. Unfortunately he was killed instead, and died at the age of 28. When he saw the way Cascade reacted to his death, he began to rethink his life. He took the time to realize how wrong his actions were. His paranoia for Cascade’s safety clouded his thoughts too much. For 2 days he took some time to think about his actions and eventually redeemed himself, earning his spirit a rested status.

Once redeemed, he apologized to Zipher about killing him. Though it took some time, Kaizo eventually gained forgiveness from Zipher, something he never expected. After that has passed, the two began to spend a lot of time together, becoming very close friends pretty soon. Although there were a few awkward times as it was odd to Kaizo when he realized his best friend is the person he murdered, but he eventually got used to it knowing Zipher is okay with it.
