He was right to come back to that bar sis showed him - full of positive people, like Keren here! She was neat! He liked her style, and she backed it up with a friendly attitude. AND she got him some drinks! 9/10, would meet up and drink with again!
Oh this guy! He's cool! He looks cool! He acts...kinda silly but that's cool as well! Drinking with him is fun! He gives lots of compliments and seems sincere! That's special when you meet someone for the first time at a bar. Wouldn't mind to drink with him again, that'd be fine!
Oh!! He was so friendly! And smart, he's a scientist!! Gosh, it was so nice of him to just invite her to dinner - hope she was decent company in place of his busy girlfriend... and hope he didn't mind Moony too much - she's just very wary of strangers!
Ah yes, a total bitch. Hi.
Their meeting was brief! And enough for Moony, honestly. Adriel just kinda kept waving that lighter around, and that was a bit scary, Moony don't like no fire. And apparently she's a gf of that guy who invited Laira to a whole dinner... suspicious, the both of them.
She?
Eats?
Books??????????
And is made of... ink........? Pilfer continues to appear uh.... c-confidently lost, although she definitely has her moments. A lot, actually. ...She's kinda damn smart for what appears to be a crossover between E.T. and female Tarzan. ...Well, ok, not *all* the time, though, but when that isn't the case, her strength is very valuable! ...And then she turns into a tree!
WHAT. THE FUCK!!!!!!!
But hey, they picked up a common interest, that's surprising! Her toad's so interesting! He hopes she likes his pets, too - and hopes Chik-Chik stays away from Sausage. Oh no.
...He also hopes she doesn't hold it against him that he left her with the guards that one time, he really didn't intend to, he just... panicked real bad and... aa a aa a
Ohey! Y'know, for being a smart guy, David can sometimes be real dumb! The point of a distraction is for you to run away! You're not meant to run back again and then throw fire at the people who are distracted! They really need to get on the same page because that plan did not go AT ALL to plan.
Still, they both made it through! Which is good, because Pilfer likes David! If they have to go to anyone in the party to ask questions, or require a smarter insight, the lemur is definitely her go-to.
Plus! They both like animals! David can hold Sausage whenever he wants to. c:
Rag's... dead... friend...?
...
Yeah, that sounds about right. Rag's dead friend that Vis encountered a total of... once, and never again. Still though, they uh... seemed pleasant, and very curious about Vis's genetic make-up, despite being an oddity themselves. Their death also seemed... painful... although vaguely hazy, so maybe good for them, the poor sod... 7/10, definitely not another cause of Vis's constantly increasing paranoia related to Solomon and mom and the likes constantly watching Vis's every step.
Right?
Should he be concerned about childish young women cyborgs just casually standing in the streets, or amazed at technology? Cause that... that just feels like some fucked up anime fan's dream come true.
Uh, she was, er, nice, though...? For a... robot? Is that right? ...er, would talk again, 7/10.
They... don't seem to enjoy spending time with people much? Or rather, maybe they like spending time alone. They also appear to be a werebeast! That's super curious, he's seen some people inflicted by that in dad's lab! Or born with it, which... hm. Wonder what's her story with it? She also spoke the weird girl's language... is that connected?
Despite the fact that she spends time largely on her own, it's uh, nice that she's tagging along and... protecting the team in battles with these creatures. She's experienced with the halberd! He's sure to uh, get out of her way in the battlefield, and just support her from the sidelines with his elixirs of weird flavours.
Out of the entire group, she honestly has little to no opinion of David as is. He doesn't seem like a bad person? All she can really say is that his bird is pretty cool. Though she for the life of herself doesn't understand his thing with soda, how does that work? It really confuses her a lot. But she does appreciate that he is much more calm than the others of the group, a single calm beacon in the chaos.
Both the cat and her.... c a t are VERY specific creatures. What did she DO to the poor guy? ...At least he listens, I guess? So he'll listen if she tells it to... stay away from Io and Titan... please?
And he doesn't want to antagonise anyone, really! She seems smart, and she knows what she wants, that's... great! But he just hopes Kissa realises that if she tangles herself into some weird mess, he's really not planning on helping her out of it. ...Although he appreciates that she um, seems to be interested in the mysterious side of things with that whole maelstrom, maybe she wants to figure out how it works like he does! The rest of the team seems a bit more focused on... wrecking anything related to it. Can't blame them, but uh, maybe if they put their heads together they could... come up with some... solutions, hopefully!
David is a fun time these days. He's easy to rile up, fun to prod...
...
And he'll probably be the first to figure this all out. That's sort of what she's most excited about.
To fit in with the rest of the group, Bast seems... suitably insane. Not like, dangerously so (and David will TRY TO MAKE SURE IT STAYS THAT WAY), but also he gobbled up half a raw pumpkin with his bare hands. Um.
...But he's nice! Definitely more sensitive about people than Kissa, got his heart in the right place, uh... perhaps a bit too fast. Haha. ...No seriously, not just on legs, but with thinking and talking, too. Maybe talking and doing more than thinking. Releasing a lab rat from a laboratory of abominations...
...David is determined to help him find out how to halt, or maybe even reverse that.. eye problem. There has to be a way! He'll figure something out, for Bast!!
David is a good kid! A little squeamish when it comes to fighting, but his heart is certainly set in the right place! Although whilst he seems mostly down to Mobius when it comes to taking action, there's abeen a few moments where the Lemus has panicked more than Bast thought he would. Like! It was just a rat!!! it's fine!! let them be free!!!!
But for the most part, Bast likes David and is glad he's on his side, and that he was so... ready to offer his help with the whole. eye. thing.
Where Erin found Nalivka, Silver will never know.
Seriously, when he said "We need the strongest heroes in the land" he didn't mean someone who was /actually/ in the land.
And yet, between her intense skill in battle and uniquely straight-forward method of dealing with threats others would squirm against, Nalivka proved to Silver she was a great hero.
...But on a personal level, he sincerely hopes he never has to share a direct conversation with her.
Dude, you need to shape up. Like, seriously, she could pick you up with one arm.
...She could pick up the rest of the ink family with her other arm but that's besides the point.
Still, Silver seems a good dude. And uh... father figure...? The kids sure seem happy.
She might've not shown it much, but she's grateful for the photo he managed to get her. And also he took her sudden jumpkick to the face quite graciously so you know. Respect for that.
Nalivka is.. certainly something. She has thrown the children that Erin and Silver are taking care of, refused to hand over her mother's severed hand, jump kicked her partner (although that one was accidental), and though Erin didn't *check*, she's pretty sure Nalivka also has her head as a trophy as well. Despite that, and despite Nalivka and Erin probably being complete polar opposites, Erin still appreciates Nalivka so, so much. She cannot express her gratitude towards the entire party for helping them. She completely expected Nalivka to disappear after all was said and done but if anything Nalivka is the most easily contactable due to her asking for Reinas old manor, which Erin happily agreed to. Better in Nalivkas hands to make new memories than left to rot, she supposed. Erin really does appreciate Nalivka. She completely understands her wanting to be alone in her own element, and though they don't agree on everything, Nalivka still takes care of the children and they always come back safe and sound, if not a little more wild.
She can't quite understand why in the world Erin would want that hand.
I mean, she can understand HERSELF. It's a TROPHY goddamnit!
But man, Erin's just weird.
...But smart. And surprisingly brave, deciding to just come with them in the end. But uh... her leaving later was a good call.
Nalivka also can't understand how she could accept that OTHER ink... but it's not her place to judge.
She got a free house out of this whole ordeal anyway! Thanks, Erin!
Din's AWESOME. Used to be, and still is! A detective! How cool is that!! THIS guy's gotta have an adventurous life! Didn't uhhhhhhHHHH Ali end up a detective as well or something? Man, they all kinda grew up to be decent people in the end! Dandy!
..... His mom WAS kinda secondhandedly accidentally kinda killed by Cat's dad, though. Oops. Din never seemed to really blame Cat, though. Maybe he didn't know that it was his dad that made the journey possible. Or maybe he just knew Cat hated the guy.
His relationship with Peter was an adventure from start to.... now. They could hate each other and next day be absolute besties, and he's not afraid to say they actually used to be best friends for quite a while! Enough so that after Din's mom died and after Cat got into his 'accident', they supported each other, even if the rest of their group kinda fell apart. Even if they drifted apart eventually, with jobs and families and stuff, Din still likes to catch up with Cat from time to time.
He's weird tbh, but enjoyably weird!
Oh, god, sorry you little poor thing. Taph's all about judging people and letting them know they SUCK, but when they see people who are already more than aware of their own suckiness, even they know how much of an asshole you have to be to point it out and drive them even further in their beliefs. They hope they didn't make her feel uh, too much like shit.
This person kinda makes her feel like shit.
She knows she's shit, socially inept, dumb, stupid, pathetic, sad, an annoyance, a burden, all of that good stuff. Rag just wants to be left alone, but she knows she'll never get better unless she tries and socialises and steps out her boundaries.
It just hurts to have that attempt thrown back at you, regardless of your feelings. And Rag knows she's a sensitive baby, and no-one else should cater to her feelings, but it still stings!
Meeting these sort of people just make her crawl back into her shell.
But... whatever. Rag knows she annoys this squirrel so she'll just... do her own thing, and they'll do theirs. And they'll both sit there, and she'll sit in her seat and think about all the things she did wrong on a cycle until she dies.
...Talkative. And um, very open. About many things.
Even though he gets a bit overwhelming... Enoch's a pleasant company! And Noui doesn't mind the constant stream of words flowing from his mouth. He's happy to listen, to be honest.
Willow's wife, who's uh, as far as he's gathered, quiet? And suspicious??
...But very fighty. Goddammit he LIKES this family!
Ah yes it's just the BEST WORK PARTNER HE'S EVER HAD. No seriously Willow's great! Likes fights, has badass powers, likes Caelmir... and... yeah tbh that's enough to already be great but she's more than that, obviously! A professional, that he's proud to work alongside of. He knows he can't really replace... uh, whatever guy was working there BEFORE him, but he's gonna do his damn best that's for sure!
Hey look, it's SAM! Meridian has absolutely no trouble recognising her since Willow won't fucking stop showing him those goddamned PICTURES OF HER.
...A quality daughter tho. Seems a very nice young lady, though he hasn't had much chance to actually speak to her. She doesn't have to be so scared of him! Yeah ok maybe he LOOKS and... TALKS and smells and feels a little scary but he's not! Really!!
Grandma! Don't worry - he will find out who killed you, and he'll AVENGE you! ...Even if he never met you and dad won't fucking tell him how you died!
She never got to meet her grandson, but she bets he's PERFECT.
AND DIN BETTER BE A BETTER DAD than she was a mom
Moony has no idea who this is, and have never seen him. But for some reason, seeing huskies gives her a very warm fuzzy feeling. It's bad for her ice powers, dammit.
Aw, look at her son all grown up. He was a pain in the ASS when he was younger, and then grew up to be a pain in the ass too, but for the people who deserved it! She admits it's probably her fault that he was a borderline criminal as a teen, but listen - there was research to be done! And no-one wanted to do it but her! So she's justified, right?
Well, he CERTAINLY got his temperament and stubborness from mom. He misses her, of course, he did love her. He just had... difficult ways of showing it, and maybe he was just a bit bitter that she was never around. Losing her was... sudden.. but somehow also, uh, expected. Like, everyone suspected that if she dies, she dies working. And she did! Somewhere in the snowscapes. Horrible. And he can't even retrieve her body...
...
But he wouldn't mind dying while doing what he loved, either. He should research, maybe it's some unspoken family tradition he's unaware of, ha!
Dad. Is. AWESOME. He taught Caelmir A LOT of detective tricks, and gave him like, his own magnifying glass, and dad's old brown trench coat! It smells of smoke. BUT SO DOES CAELMIR.
With all of that knowledge, he's sure to find out what happened to grandma!!
Fucking FINALLY, a SON. He's been waiting for this forever, and it finally happened! Look at him! His pride and joy! Little baby boy, pink like himself. With his mom's cute pointy muzzle.
...Admittedly, Caelmir was born a little... late. That's not to say Din's planning on DYING anytime soon, GOD no, he's still alive and kickin'! But he's not the youngest either, and his job is... risky. He found that with Caelmir's birth, he started being a bit more wary, and hesitant, which can be dangerous, especially in dire situations. In his efforts to not die TOO fast, he might actually make the poor kid a half-orphan quicker (and his wife a widow, for that matter)!
Plus, Cael seems pretty serious about that detective stuff, too. Yeah, he's like, 12, but... he's so insistent on it! And yeah the job's AWESOME but he could get hurt!!
The demon lady from the cafe, yes. She'd said people told her she was weird, and he's not gonna deny, she's a bit of an individual, but he still insists there's nothing wrong with that. Even if her manners were a bit confusing, her excitement and curiosity were fun to watch! He enjoyed their little conversation.
He was nice! And she enjoyed talking to him! He reassured her there wasn't much wrong with her, which was a nice change of tone as well, compared to her past experiences with people.
Oh my god she was adorable! And bitey! Sharp kind of cute. So I guess, cool? Is sharp cute cool? ...Other than that he. Uh. He doesn't recall THAT much. He might've already been a bit dronk when they've met. And then they got more drunk, it was FUN!
....
His sister would probably LOVE her, and he wouldn't mind getting wasted with her again!
Ssstick insect. Yeah, that was it, tall guy, who didn't like music? JC and... ssskunk? Yeah, they were gonna show this guy music!
...They may have SHOWN this guy music? Maybe?
...Wait was he a robot?
Oh god everything is a blur.
