Day 11: Cauldron
It was a relaxing day that Gallastus was free from assignments and Shen Qingqiu could bask under the sunlight. The two were enjoying the relaxing day when they forgot to have a meal that they wanted to grab something from the fridge.
Gallastus recommended simple microwave food and Shen Qingqiu agreed when somehow Gallastus suddenly wanted to cook instead.
"I almost forgot how malnutritious you are since most of your foods are instant foods so why don't we cook instead?" Gallastus didn't wait for Shen Qingqiu to answer and proceeded to rush to the kitchen. Shen Qingqiu didn't care much and followed him.
The two discussed what they should cook when they finally settled with boiled food. As the recommendation of Gallastus had sounded delicious Shen Qingqiu just nodded in agreement.
His choice is the wrong move.
Maybe.
Gallastus did recommend boiling foods on chicken broth but Shen Qingqiu wasn't expecting for the young Warpa to use a cauldron instead!
As if the situation worsened, Gallastus began to toss in random foods to the pot that Shen Qingqiu couldn't follow the movements and lost track of what had been added. As time flew Shen Qingqiu began to worry about how the broth would taste like.
Even if Gallastus looked like a maniac as he kept on stirring the pot, somehow Shen Qingqiu got curious on what the sensation was like and decided to switch places with Gallastus to stir.
Gallastus decided to go to the toilet as Shen Qingqiu kept on stirring. As Gallastus disappeared to the corner Shen Qingqiu began to realise the smell which actually smelled nice, contrasted with the soup appearance of them making a soup.
Curious with the taste now, Shen Qingqiu scooped a bit using a spoon and drank the broth. Surprisingly, it tastes nice but lacks a specific taste so he added another bunch of spices. He finished stirring when Gallastus went back and took a sip.
Both were surprised by the result but ended up enjoying the previously mysterious cauldron. Of course Shen Qingqiu didn't tell Gallastus that he added a few spices to cover the bad taste.
