"You mean to tell me that you've met the person?!" Gallastus screamed. Shen Qingqiu quickly waved his hand over the young Warpa's mouth to gesture him to lower his voice. Shen Qingqiu replied "I didn't meet this person but found their mask. I'm at least like 75% sure that this mask belongs to the person who helped me."
This left Gallastus in a deep thinking moment. He later pulled his hand away from his chin and stared at the adult in front of him "Do you think this person left the mask on purpose? So can you find them?"
Shen Qingqiu shook his head.
"Not sure, I found this rather buried with the stones dust above it so I think the mask fell off. The owner must be looking for this right now!" It didn't take another second until their neighbourhood experienced a blackout. Both yelped in unison.
In a flash Gallastus grabbed a handful of candles and lit them up. As their neighbourhood rarely lost electricity even the candles are in halfways used condition. Not that any of them mind as they need all the lightning they could get.
The blackout went for half an hour and most of the candles were almost out. "Seems like we're gonna spend the rest of the blackout in the dark..." Gallastus groaned. He's not wrong as it's getting late outside and Shen Qingqiu couldn't remember if he had any other candles.
The two stayed silent waiting for the candles to completely burn when somehow they could hear a loud thump outside which made them immediately shudder.
"What is that...?!" Gallastus whispered in fear. Shen Qingqiu shook his head in fear as well. As the older between the two he decided to check the source of the light while gesturing to Gallastus to grab something as a weapon.
Shen Qingqiu took a peek outside but as the sky was getting dark, all he saw was house silhouettes.
Not too long after the light went back. Only the next day they heard that someone visited the main electricity source to somehow fix the cables. No one knew how the person looked like but Shen Qingqiu had his gut telling something.
