Shen Qingqiu and Gallastus went shopping the other day since they need to restock their fridge and the fact that they don't wish to fight with other customers to get the items they want. Gallastus took a few raw ingredients and fresh products while preferring to have a decent amount of stock in their possession.
Shen Qingqiu on the other hand, wasn't the brightest with stoves and cooking. While he was allowed by Gallastus to take quick foods such as snacks, he knew the limit on how many unhealthy foods he must take.
They ended up going home with five bags full. Just after they finished cleaning up, Gallastus stretched and approached the kitchen. "It's already midday and we should make something to eat. Can you cook?"
Shen Qingqiu stared at Gallastus and looked away soon after "I do but not as good as other people, let's just say my results would be considered standard compared to regular foods..." Instead of being supportive, Gallastus laughed. He immediately apologised and took out the cooking equipment. "Here, you're in charge of cutting the food, then! I'll stir the food!" Gallastus handed over a giant knife towards Shen Qingqiu.
Shen Qingqiu stared at the knife and saw his own reflection. Based on the reflection, he could confirm that the knife is really sharp. He began to take out the stuff Gallastus chose to cut and began to swing the knife. At first his hands are stiff and the cuts are less than decent until the later half of the food it got cleaner and better.
As if time passed real fast, he was washing the dishes while Gallastus cleaned the table.
Gallastus blurted out a quick chuckle before he turned his head to Shen Qingqiu "I can tell that you're enjoying cutting using a knife, perhaps later on you'll do it again?"
While his words are actually correct, Shen Qingqiu felt awkward hearing it. Maybe he's good at cooking but never confident enough to cook for himself?
