Have you heard of the term lucid dreaming? It's a condition where you could control yourself in your dream instead of being controlled.

This morning Gallastus approached Shen Qingqiu as they're having breakfast. The young Warpa mentioned about his friend experiencing the situation where they could control themself in their dream like in video games. While Shen Qingqiu initially didn't believe such things, Gallastus convinced him to try it as it did sound fun when experienced firsthand. Even after convincing words, Shen Qingqiu still refused. This was a mistake he made as the next thing he did at night with Gallastus was watching a horror movie about a serial killer who's on the loose in the forest.
He laid on his bed at night staring at the ceilings as he heard a rustle outside. After watching the unpleasant movie, his mind wandered elsewhere so that he couldn't fall asleep as fast as he used to. Every noise that happened would wake him up in fear.
As if the problem didn't end there, after he let his mind wander he somehow ended up in a creepy looking forest with fog and muddy paths. As logically he couldn't link on how he ended up there, he began to wander aimlessly. Not even a minute passed that he felt a chill down his spine from behind.
His heart thumped faster than usual as he wanted to speed up his walking pace but somehow unable to, he could feel the chill gotten worse. The illusion behind him did feel closer! He wanted to scream but was also unable to, so he put on his best effort to turn his body around and look at the figure. Whether it was his own decision or impulse, he did anyway. The latter was worse, the figure behind him was distorted but somehow familiar. With glitchy limbs and ominously float, the last thing which creeps him out is the face. It doesn't have a face! Only has a floating mask which Shen Qingqiu believed he had seen somewhere.
He did.
Upon figuring out he woke up from his nightmare broke into sweat.
He had to find the mask owner, fast.
