Ever since yesterday's movie night Shen Qingqiu lack sleep that he looked really tired in the morning. As his face had written "gloomy" all over, Gallastus who had just woken up turned his gaze towards Shen Qingqiu and stared for the longest time. Initially in fear and later concerned.
Gallastus was about to grab the milk carton on the fridge when Shen Qingqiu realised his presence and lifted his face.
"You look really horrible, man..." Gallastus stared at him in a worried look.
"Not that I can help it, I had a horrible nightmare today..." Shen Qingqiu replied but the more he talked the lower his voice got. He was showing fatigue. "Must be really scary if even a hard-headed person like you lacks sleep because of a nightmare." Gallastus poured himself a cup of milk and sat beside him. Shen Qingqiu could only clutch his head with both hands.
In order to jog his mind elsewhere, Shen Qingqiu chose to rake the dried leaves.
He approached the warehouse and grabbed the long broom before he walked to the yard and started sweeping. It worked well because he began to focus on the leaves and had forgotten about the dream.
He began to hum gently and later melodic as he swept the yard in harmony along with the music. He found peace after last night.
He was halfway sweeping when a gentle wind blew the yard and the raked leaves flew a bit that they scattered but Shen Qingqiu didn't mind, as it meant that he could have more time focusing on other stuff. He slowly approached the scattered leaves and continued to rake them.
Gallastus had finished dressing properly and ran outside after seeing Shen Qingqiu had been sweeping since morning. He decided to help by grabbing another broom and swept the other side of the yard to make the work faster. They don't talk much during the chore but having company when doing something is relaxing for both of them.
Shen Qingqiu joked about buying another bigger broom as they're slow today.
