Day 21: Casket
As a new store opened in a nearby mall, Shen Qingqiu invited Gallastus to go there with him, to which the young Warpa immediately agreed happily. The nearby mall may be considered small but they have obtained most necessary household items there. Shen Qingqiu recommended Gallastus to consider changing his bed as his current one was weary and needs replacement. Knowing he had a point Gallastus nodded and both walked.
They visited a new bedroom equipment store where Gallastus went to the bed area quickly to find the one that matched him. Shen Qingqiu followed behind slowly as he looked around on which other furniture he would need.
Gallastus called over the adult Warpa to show his choice. Shen Qingqiu was curious but later confused with the choice.
"A coffin…?" Shen Qingqiu asked in full confusion.
"Nope, it's a casket." Gallastus replied.
Shen Qingqiu shook his head. "Choose another normal bed, your room would only seem normal during Halloween. But it will look ridiculous the other months..."
Shen Qingqiu later realised that because of the time of the month, there are less normal beds and more in the form of coffins and caskets. Gallastus' choice suddenly made sense as there are no good normal beds and the good ones are either of the two.
Shen Qingqiu scoffed and gently patted Gallastus' hair "Well seems like I can't blame you, should we look at other sections?" Gallastus nodded. "If we can't find a decent one so you think the casket is passable?" Shen Qingqiu could only answer with a forced smile. Gallastus sneered.
Admittedly, looking for a decent, normal bed at this time of year is hard like finding a needle on a haystack. Shen Qingqiu was about to give up and chose the previous casket Gallastus pointed earlier but the young Warpa cut "How about if we just grab one model and ask if they could modify it?"
Shen Qingqiu was confused but Gallastus went ahead to the first store. After discussing for some time with the worker, it turned out they could modify the bed as long as it's purchased.
Gallastus went home with a new bed. Looked casual with an upper cover made by the bought bed.
