How diverse is the group in their ideals? Do they typically agree on most things or do they often have conflicts of interest?

Prompt C 21 - Ideals and Conflict

When it comes to the Wayfarers, the only consistent thing about their ideals is that there is very little consistency within their ideals. Each of the members of the group has their own specific reasons for joining, and even when it comes to the group's overall goal of getting Beatrix home, well... Not all of them are even on board, actually.
Beatrix, of course, formed the group alongside Kat with the goal of getting the former home, and the two are dedicated to that... though you might be surprised to find that Kat is more focused on that goal that Beatrix herself can be, considering her diversions into incidents like the war in the realm of the Trinity Tree. She's certainly focused on returning to her old life with her human, but she's not afraid to stop the gang to check out other goings on, especially where she feels others could use her help. Kat is understanding of this, granted, but if it were up to him, he wouldn't prioritize it to nearly the extent that she does - He mostly goes along with it because it's her goal, and he's just trying to support her. Cruel though it might seem, if Beatrix were willing to pass by those who needed help, he would do the same.
Mitko... he really couldn't care less about the whole affair with Beatrix and her old humans. He's been burned by humans before, and he can only imagine that her attempts to return to the past she lost will be a waste of time. Truthfully, he's only stuck with the group because Ragin took an interest in Beatrix and Mitko, and where one of them goes, the other follows. They might not be able to understand each other fully, but they're a team. And when it comes to Beatrix's insistence on butting into other's problems? Frankly, Mitko would love nothing more than for Beatrix to stop dragging them into those sorts of shenanigans, and in his mind he's made that quite clear - It's hard to get more done with the whole affair than standing face to face with multiple gods and declaring yourself an atheist out of resentment.
Sophie is a bit more of a neutral force than Kat's supportive and well-meaning (if a bit gruff) nature and Mitko's moderately sour, "only here because I have to be" disposition. She's largely here out of the convenience factor of having a gang to travel with, which means she doesn't have to get her paws dirty with hunting and ensures she can always find a steady stream of new faces to beg a meal off of - Much easier than having to figure out who's caught on to her ploy. But despite the somewhat self-serving nature of her reasons to join the Wayfarers, she doesn't mind helping Beatrix with her goals, be they finding her way home or helping out the folks around her. It might not be her priority, but Beatrix is a sweet kid, and Sophie is just glad to be a part of things.
Virva doesn't really have much of a stake in how things go for Beatrix when it comes to getting her old life back, honestly. If Beatrix can reach that goal, then good for her, but if not? Well, at least Virva was able to take the opportunity to get away from her old life as much as she could and finally get to see the worlds. That's not to say she doesn't want what's best for Beatrix and those around her, of course - If circumstances were different, she'd likely be joining Beatrix in going out of her way to help others as they traveled. But, well... there's two things standing in the way of her truly getting to be herself. Two cats, specifically.
Melia is honestly here more than anything for the sake of her half-sister, much to the latter's disdain. She wants to make sure Virva is safe and well, and that takes priority over anything else. She cares for the others too, of course, particularly Beatrix, who reminds her in some ways of her own sister, but if the two were dangling above a pit of spikes and she could only save one... She wouldn't be happy with it, but, well. Try not to pay too much mind to the cream-colored kebab down below. Regardless, she tends to be a bit more cautious than the others, beating out even Mitko, largely out of concern for Virva's wellbeing, which can put her in conflict with the group's leaders at times... and she usually ends up going along with it anyway, simply because there's no talking her companions out of things half the time.
And the other cat standing in Virva's way... Berkeley's relationship within the group is very, very complicated, due to their nature as a god and the memories of past lives they haven't got the slightest clue where to begin with. Their priority when tracking down the group was ultimately just survival... but things changed drastically when they realized who was in the group. Though they're not as vocal about it, Berkeley is arguably the cat the most invested in Beatrix's safe return to her human family, perhaps moreso than Kat or Beatrix themselves. But when it comes to stepping out of that goal to pursue other things... they won't speak against it, and they'll support Beatrix's efforts in helping others and being the best cat she can be, but truthfully, they wish they themselves could just stay out of it. Helping others like that feels too close to the responsibility of being a god, and no matter what the dragon god, may suggest, Berkeley just isn't prepared to handle that sort of role yet.
And Naomi...? She'll support helping others within reason, but when it comes to the group's overall goal of getting Beatrix home, her opinions are very much different from those in charge. She's careful not to speak against them directly, of course, but she has her own more subtle ways of voicing her thoughts... particularly by trying to gently dissuade Beatrix from her goal in the first place. It's not done out of malice, mind you, but the way she sees it, the girl had been rejected before, in a very direct and explicit manner, and returning will only cause her more pain and sorrow. In her mind, trying to subtly hint to Beatrix that the path she's seeking is one that's not worth pursuing is a noble effort; she's merely trying to protect a child from being hurt further by humans, just as she herself had been, over and over.
Despite the conflicts of interest within the group, there's not too much outright contention between its members - They're typically either passive enough to go along with the leaders' calls, or they're subtle enough to play along where necessary. But to say that the group is entirely in sync and harmonious would be disingenuous, to say the least.
