Choose a lion/cat/hyena and write about what would happen if they went to a store/mall/shopping. What sort of things would they buy? Do they window shop or just get what they need and leave?

POTD 4/5/2021 - Sophie

In a world where Sophie and the other Wayfarers could go shopping, there's one thing you can be certain of: Sophie would be the master of haggling. Or, perhaps, the master of getting kicked out of stores because, however much she may like to believe otherwise, you can't haggle the price of a package of deli meat down at the grocery store.
The point remains, though: Sophie grew up needing to provide for herself and her family however possible, and given the opportunity, she'd try to avoid spending extra money where possible, because the less something costs, the more she can get. She's not the sort to steal (though she is the type to beg - An important distinction!), but she'd do whatever she could to keep her prices low while keeping things legal.
That's not to say she doesn't like to have nice things, mind you - Who wouldn't like a package of the fancy ham instead of the dollar store ones, or perhaps a cute new accessory to wear? But when it comes to getting her paws on those sorts of things, sales, coupons, and thrifting would be her best friend. Plus maybe making friends with the employees to see if they would be willing to give her their discount... And if you've ever gone to a bookstore and seen someone reading in the aisle? Well, if she were in a reading mood, rest assured, she too would be treating the establishment as a library that she simply doesn't have a card for.
