How does your group handle gratitude? Do they take time to share gratefulness for the comforts in their life, or do they mostly go unannounced? Is such things set aside for certain days or situations?

POTD 6/29/2021 - Gratitude

Thankfulness in the Wayfarers is, for the most part, a simple, personal thing. The group doesn't really do anything special when it comes to expressing gratitude. That's not to say they can't be thankful or even that they refuse to be thankful for things, but, for the most part, they don't go out of their way to express gratitude - They just don't really make a big deal out of it. They can appreciate time or energy spent, or things given to them courtesy of the other members of their group, or others they may come across in their travels, of course, but even then, it's usually just a simple "Thank you," and perhaps a gesture in return - A member gifted another member's prey might go out of their way to do the same in return, as an expression of good will and appreciation, for instance. But there's not really any groupwide celebrations of gratitude or anything like that.
Now, with the Wayfarers being the hodgepodge mess that it is, that's not a hard and fast rule, of course. Some of the members are aware of human celebrations like Thanksgiving, for instance, and while the group has no such structured days set aside for it, members are free to participate in such occasions if they wish, so long as they don't hold the group back in the process (though Beatrix is pretty lenient and forgiving with the other members when it comes to their travels and how long they stay in an area, in spite of her goal, and hey! If they're going to participate in Thanksgiving and what have you, it's a good excuse to put together a proper feast, at least! That's always fun). And some members, like Melia, might offer thanks to the deities or to nature or what have you for their lives or circumstances on a more regular basis, in a way similar to prayer... But each of those examples are more of an individual choice than any sort of organized recognition.
For most of the members, gratefulness is simply expressed in the same way anyone would be thankful towards someone else on a daily basis, like a human thanking another human for letting them borrow a pen, or for holding a door open, or for making dinner. After all, why should you need a special occasion or grand gesture to thank someone, or to appreciate the good things in life?
