Is this character a leader or a follower?

Prompt I 18 - Beatrix

On the scale from leader to follower, Beatrix has fluctuated quite a bit with time. Prior to forming the Wayfarers with Kat, she was content as a follower, for the most part, allowing her humans to take charge, as humans tend to do. She didn't always do what they wanted, of course - They weren't exactly thrilled with her habits of jumping on the counters and knocking things down to hide, for example - but she was content to just go with the flow, generally.
After forming the Wayfarers, she was still somewhat in the mindset of a follower, with understandable reasons, given Kat's much greater experience. But she was pretty quickly pushed into something of a co-leadership role, because as much as Kat knew, he still had even less of an idea where they should be going than she did; he was the leader when it came to getting things like hunting done and teaching her to do it herself, but in terms of decision making, it was up to Beatrix.
This grew into Beatrix taking up a more proper leadership role among the group as it grew, though it has gotten her into some sort of messy situations - Her taking charge of things wound up leading her into another world with no way to leave, risking her life taking part in a war between two gods, for instance. And that incident in turn pushed her a bit further back towards the follower side of things, because, let's be honest, being separated from everything you've ever known and made to dislocate your leg fighting magical murdery swamp things and what have you is understandably a bit much for a kid Bia's age to go through.
But once that was said and done, over time, she's found something of a balance - She'll take the lead, as one of the group's founders (and sort of the one cat keeping them all together in the first place), and is still a bit impulsive and stubborn when she sets her mind to things, but she's also more willing to step back a bit and let the others figure things out with her, too.
   ...Usually.
