Toyhouse

L'estremità is the continent that sits at the bottom of the world and is entirely encased by a thick layer of ice.

Outside of the island just barely outside of the glacial zone of the continent, there are no known permanent residents of the L'estremità mainland.

Settlements

There's a small island to the north of the continental mainland, just south of Selvica which houses a couple of small settlements.

Cape Finale - The most populous settlement, and the prime spot tourists gather.
Port Invernos - The main sea port on the island, also contains the only functional airport, but is closed for around half of the year due to poor flight and sea conditions
Antivonerano - The largest research station, many scientists work here studying various
Bay of Ghiacciolo - Despite the name of Cape Finale, this is the true final settlement on the edge of the world. Very small population, nearly every home here has a fire resonator for survival purposes.

Lontano Island - A lonely island in the middle of the Desola Ocean. Nobody visits this island and until only recently it was said to be a mirage.

Rumors and Speculation

The continent itself is a no-man's land and totally barren, though serious exploration of the massive continent has been all but abandoned. There were several attempts to explore the depths of the land, but even the hottest fire resonators or coolest of water resonators succumb to the extreme colds here.

There was a modern attempt at sending resonators in for exploration, but a mysterious transmission prior to the exploration team's demise has scared off any further attempts.

Scientists theorize there are gigantic deposits of rubato crystals under the icy surface of the continent due to strange readings from rhythm scanners deployed there. The logistics of obtaining such resources however have not been decided and given the extremely hostile nature of the land itself, no plans have been made by any government or private entity to extract the theoretical crystals.

Final Transmission

In the early 1990's AR, an expedition team made up of solely fire and Ice-clan water resonators was sent to the L'estremità mainland in an attempt to document the lay of the land. Setting off from the Bay of Ghiacciolo, they made their way across the strait and landed on shore. Heading south towards the south pole, there was nothing to report besides snow and ice. That was until they hit the south pole proper, they were suddenly attacked by an unseen force and entirely wiped out.

Their last words were "It's not a scherzando! It's a demon!"
