Mirage Resonators

Outside of the usual breeds of resonators, there is a class of resonator beyond the typical dogs, cats, and birds one might find commonly around Riterra.

Their numbers are very few, but these resonators are outside the norms of what one would expect. Even rarer than dragons or even prestigious breeds of resonators, to possess one of these rare creatures is a sign of great luck or wealth.

Clay Golem
Fire-Element
Ancient Attribute

Created with a magic lost to time, these beings are artificial constructs with a fiery rhythm-like core. Usually adorned with a massive pure Rubato crystal which acts as the resonator's "brain". Despite their bodies being made of earthy elements they're Fire element due to their internal structures being made up entirely of fire which is used to manipulate the clay body surrounding it. They're functionally immortal, but their body can be destroyed. As long as their crystal is recovered, they can create a body with the help of a maestro's rhythm.

Merfolk
Water-Element
Deep Attribute

It is said that deep underneath the surface of the ocean there exists marvelous cities inhabited by Merfolk. Rarely these creatures will leave their ancestral home and travel to the surface. These curious creatures may even decide to partner with a human maestro. In exchange for their spell-casting abilities and their rhythm they can walk upon the dry land, shedding their fishy lower halves. However water will return their powers in full along with restoring their body to its proper state.

Dinosaurian
Earth Element
Fossil Attribute

The ancient and modern worlds meet to create this creature. Utilizing ancient fossils and modern gene-splicing techniques, it is possible to create a resonator that never existed in the past; one who bears the traits of a Dinosaur rather than the common creatures found today. With a massive affinity to the earth element, these beasts can re-create their ancient donor's weapons utilizing the dirt and rocks around them. Though the downside of the intense modification of their genomes results in a creature incapable of bearing children, as such these beasts are exceedingly rare

Zalavan
Nature Element
Adaptable Attribute

A curious sort of creature, one leaning closer to the plant kingdom rather than the animal kingdom. This all-female species, while demure has massive potential, bearing the unique ability to augment their spell-set with all sorts of different elemental spells based on plants grown in their grass-like hair. They also have the ability to drain the magic of plants they hold in order to cast spells of that plants element just one time. They can appear in the "wild" randomly, but due to their high rhythm content it is exceptionally rare due to the prevalence of scherzando in the world.

Android
Lightning Element
Artificial Attribute

With the advancement of science came these machines which behave like resonators. While Clay Golems could not be recreated in the modern era, using a similar concept, these machines were formed. With a pure rubato crystal at their core acting as a combination processor and hard drive, these resonators are filled with electricity instead of fire like their clay counterparts. Each Android is purpose built and have unique traits for each different build. There exists many different blueprints out in the wide world to build these automatons, however the limiting factor is finding the elusive pure Rubato crystals required to function.

Fairy
Solar Element
Spirit Attribute

Rumors abound that deep in the forests of Unis-Résonne there is a realm where the Fae live. These magical beings have many ancient legends surrounding them, whether its being fallen angels, descendants of ancient insects, or even spirits of the wind. Though the truth may be a little of each. Fairies are demure things, bearing fragile looking wings. There are many clans of Fairies spread throughout the world, and the easiest way to tell is through the wings they carry on their backs. There are many verified reports of run-ins with Fae folk, though few committing to the bond between maestro and resonator. No maestro has ever seen the Fae Lands, though there are tales of abused and abandoned Resonators being taken in by the Fae to live a peaceful life amongst these elusive creatures.

Sphonpais
Lunar Element
Decay Attribute

Of the mirage resonators, these are the most reviled of the group on Riterra. Being Lunar element already set them up for hardship, but their historical appearances have been that of harbringers of death. They are the fungal answer to Zalavan, that is to say where Zalavan grow plans atop their heads, Sphonpais grow fungi. Many stories tell of troops of Sphonpais appearing the nights following large battles, taking in the burnt rhythm and consuming the flesh of the fallen. Modern studies show the consumption of flesh is unneeded and they can survive like any other resonator. Their particular quirk though is they are the only known predator of scherzando being able to consume them as if they were a flesh-based animal. Despite this useful trait, the general public still fears them, seeing Sphonpais more akin to a monster like the scherzando they prey upon and not a solution to a rapidly escalating environmental issue.
