Likes: Geology, the night sky, bitter foods, the sound of the wind, rock-climbing, horror movies, and rock music.

Dislikes: Sunny days, people trying to get him to talk, sweet foods, jump scares (he thinks they're overused and cheap), and cheap electronics.

Personality: Dark is a very quiet person, so quiet that he hasn't talked in years! Despite his muteness, Dark is pretty social and easy-going and is open to new experiences, and has mastered communicating without words. He's very relaxed, which makes it very difficult to make him angry.

Home: Animal Planet: Miniman Town

History: Dark is the middle child in his family and has an older sister (Light) and a younger brother (Sketches). His parents are famous inventors and are often away from home for long periods of time, so he spends a lot of time with his siblings. Dark had always been a quiet child, but mysteriously stopped speaking completely one day and refuses to explain why through writing. He's more open to Lightning moving in with them than Light is (initially) and is more trusting of Sketches when he  starts going on adventures.

Current-Bio: Dark goes to school and often hangs out with friends. He sometimes joins Sketches and Lightning on adventures. Late into the story he begins talking again, but the other characters quickly realize that Dark is very quiet whether he talks or not.

Meta-History: Like the other Chaos Puffs, Dark was inspired by the Chao from Sonic Adventure 2 Battle (although they were referred to as "Eggies" until sometime in the 2010's). Dark was specifically based on the Dark/Neutral Chao. His original design had pink markings on the ends of his hands, feet, and...antanne(?) and he also had a weird spiky pink halo. Other than losing these features, his design has changed very little over the years. Dark's character has also stayed pretty consistent, although older versions of him talked more often but he's always been very quiet regardless of the story version. An older version had him be Sketches's adoptive brother instead. In one of the original backstories, he and the other Chaos Puffs were students of Swirly's who went looking for her after she went missing.

Relationships with Other Characters:

Swirly: Unlike Light, Dark doesn't doubt Swirly's existence from Skecthes' stories. When they finally meet, the two become good friends.

Sketches: Dark gets along well with his younger brother, even trusting him much more with his stories and adventures than Light does (at first).

Lightning: Dark and Lightning are good friends and sometimes hang out.

Light: Dark is very close to his older sister. Light claims he still verbally talks to her when they're alone, but has yet to prove this.

Sparky: Dark and Sparky get along very well.

Thunder: Dark tends to ignore Thunder when he's around.

Sakai: Dark and Sakai rarely interact, but the two get along due to both of them being very quiet.

Jade: Dark generally gets along with Jade after she switches sides, and the two sometimes hang out together.

Tress: Dark and Tress are good friends and hang out together often.

Seville: Dark and Seville are friends and sometimes hang out.

Melody: Dark and Melody are friends and sometimes they hang out.
