Special Delivery Guy is one of the many faces delivering food to those who order for it, no matter what time that happens to be

Special Delivery...reeks of awkward teenager. He's shy as hell, paranoid as hell, and interacts with people usually at the most surface level of conversation. He's pretty sure his life is in shambles, but he usually hides this behind a smile and a level of friendliness. He can come off as a little grumpy and tired when not on the job, but there's a fair reason:

He can't fall asleep at night.

Perhaps it's his general anxiety with life that's making sleeping difficult: or maybe it's the crazy late order some people request. Or maybe a mix of both. Whatever the reason, Special Delivery struggles to sleep at night, often getting very little sleep at night and squeaking by the day with coffee and sugar, only to repeat the process another night. He very likely has Chronic Insomnia, but hasn't been officially diagnosed yet.

Background:

Born in 1977 to a lower middle class family, Special Delivery was already bound to struggle at least a little in life. He didn't have much, but he learned to treasure what limited things he had, one of them being a fast food employee outfit and cap, which was found at a Goodwill. By the time he was 16, he decided it was time to make something of himself and begin working. So, using the old uniform, he became a food delivery person, a simple job on paper...But in practice?

Least to say the weirdness of Sacramento really started to show itself. He's delivered to both the Devil's Advocates and Sacramento PD alike, and many others: Some during reasonable hours of the day, other times at 3 or 4 in the morning. He's also been chased by neighborhood dogs and desperate homeless alike, adding more stress to him than he likely needed. One day, while delivering to a hotel, he met Registration Lady, and he admittingly fell for her. He managed to befriend her over time, but before he could ask her out, the police investigated the hotel and took Reg as a "witness". This infuriated Special Delivery, and he vowed to help his friend whenever he can, be that gifts or sneaking her out of Sharp's house to take her to the movies or the like...much to the dismay of the SPD.

Fun Facts:

-Due to the fear of being jumped, he ended up taking some self defense classes. His fighting style is very much on the defensive side, as he'd aim to incapacitate or disarm the aggressor.

-He's considered...less than legal ways in dealing with this new issue of Reg being a "witness", but never went through with them for the most part because he feared how Reggie would feel if he did that, especially to a member of law enforcement.

-Speaking of which, he absolutely LOATHES Sharp Police Chef. He believes the police chief is getting in the way of his chance of winning Reg's heart, which probably isn't helped by the fact that at the time being, she's stuck at Sharp's house (god knows why). Not to mention Sharp is way. too. fucking. loud for Special Delivery, which only adds insult to the injury of being a chronic insomniac. As a result, usually Special Delivery is more snarky and passive-aggressive towards Sharp, which usually sets Sharp off...Seriously, how haven't these two gotten into a fight yet?

-For some unexplained reason, whenever the SPD and/or the mafia order food from a fast food/pizza place, he ALWAYS is working there. Even if they order from two different places at the same time, he would still deliver at relatively the same time. This has baffled many of the residents in Sacramento. To add to that, he seems to work shifts that oftentimes overlap...Neither he or anyone in Sacramento are aware of any of this, with many dismissing it as mere coincidence

-In a way, SDG always thought this whole 24 hours thing was in spirit, and hardly ever thinks too hard about the fact that time seems to go backwards/forwards for him, sometimes whole hours.

-He's literally the reason there's modern day slang in Sacramento despite it being set in 1995...darn it, SGD!

-His real name is Sean Daniel Gilbert. Only close friends and family know this
