Hauke

??? | 7'0" | ??? | Holy Blood

Personality:

Hauke is what many would call a broken angel. Formerly a being of great power, he seemingly has been reduced to a pitifully hollow shell of his former self. Nowadays on earth, he's paranoid and suspicious of everyone around him. even if he would still do kind things for them, it's mostly surface level as he doesn't want people to expect him to do things for them. He's not a people person, but he doesn't hate people as much as he hates himself: It's almost tragic how lowly he views himself. He's ashamed of who he is and what he's done, especially after that incident with the demon. While he hasn't quite reached that point of giving up, he's incredibly depressed. On top of that, while he wouldn't admit it outright, he's...terribly lonely, and desperate for affection, be it from friends or romantic partners, which he lacks. This desperation has landed him in bad situations, however, as he ends up getting walked all over at best and sexually exploited at worst.

That isn't to say none of his heart is left: Far from it. Gain his trust, and he'll prove to be the one to shelter you if you are lost, protect you from danger and nurse you back to health should illness fall upon you. However, gaining his trust is a rather difficult task, as he's a bit of a nervous wreck who'll believe you're befriending him to get something out of him initially.

Origin:

Hauke faced a lot of hardship in his life: He never knew of his father, as his fate was unknown (Most believe he died in the fighting before Hauke was even born). Which led him to look up to his grandfather for a father figure: Faith. Faith's pacifism rubbed off on the angel, and he too disliked the constant conflict...However, the fighting soon knocked on Faith's door, and despite his best efforts to stay away from it, he was soon killed trying to signal for Concord's protection (an angel that by this point was already dead). Devastated, Hauke tried to keep his head up in a harsh time, often providing aid to others so they wouldn't feel so helpless in such a conflict. This caught the eye of God, and he was given the task of Commanding the Virtue of Kindness. However, some time after the war Hauke's mother passed away from an unknown disease. He had monuments set up for both her and Faith to keep their memory alive, and with that sprang up greenhouses, meadows and a third secret area he had set up: Lover's Cove. It found many a use as a place lovers could go and do their thing without any disturbance, however Hauke himself hardly used it.

The cause of his fall started innocent enough: A demon came to him, requesting shelter. He let her in, as he was not going to go against his virtue, even to an enemy. The Demon spun a tale of hatred, cruelty and murder when she spoke of why she needed to hide, and in all of his ignorance, the angel questioned not one bit if she was in part contributing to the hatred that swelled, and agreed to help her right the wrongs that had occurred to her. In return, the demon (who he'd later learn was the head honcho of Lust herself) would make love to him, in the Lover's Cove. At some point however, Patience found the two fooling around, and demanded to know why Hauke would engage in such devious activity: with someone from the other side, no less. He quickly explained that it was a deal the two made, which would end with Prince of Hell himself dead where he stood. Patience left, not saying a word but hinting that she'd keep her mouth shut if they actually get it done and prove it to her.

But at some point, the plot was exposed. It's unclear how it got leaked, as the two plotters had done a decent job keeping it under wraps: Leading some to believe it was none other than Patience herself who spilled the beans, as she was supposedly the only other one who knew about it, however Patience denies this. For their ploy, the two both lost their respective places and were condemned for their actions, as well as having placed upon them unique punishments for them to serve to teach them a lesson.

Now he wanders the earth as a man, his trust whittled away to the point that he can't even be sure he can remain kind in this cruel world. While he'd try his best to smile in the hard times, his heart was broken by this entire ordeal, and he weeps for the things he lost. Time will tell, if he can come out of this alright, or if his virtue will become corrupted like most fallen angels.

Abilities:

Third eye - The flaming eye on his head can fire holy light, although using it too much can give Hauke a headache.

Separation - Hauke has found a way to unbind his angelic abilities and tie them to something else, allowing him to more easily assume the form of a human. Normally the power takes the form of a half-blind blue jay that follows him around. The human form has functional hands and a mouth, however he cannot speak in this form: He's rendered mute as a trade off

Foresight - Allows Hauke to see briefly into the future. Oftentimes fuels Hauke's paranoia instead of helping him.

Dream knowledge - Hauke has extensive knowledge of the symbolism of dreams and the objects within them. Hardly ever has dreams of his own as a tradeoff, however.

Other:

-Hides behind his wings when nervous.

-Has no mouth and wants to scream...in all seriousness, despite the lack of a mouth, he can speak in his angel form.

-While he doubts Mona had anything to do with exposing the plot, he despises the fact that he let himself become blinded by her words and didn't try to hear the whole story.
