While Delia is smart, and untrusting of those she doesn't yet know and understand, Ganien is a cheerful, trusting lion who could get tricked by the worst liar in Silvarum. He trusts everyone and everything at first glance and gladly offers the benefit of the doubt, even after he's been tricked in the past. He simply trusts that everyone can be better than they might have been in the past, if they put a little effort into it, and does the best encouraging he can, even if he's a bit too loud about it.

Ganien will gladly stick with his friends, and now that he's arrived at the Regiment, all of these people are his friends, too. He's ready to follow along, to do whatever is needed to fight back the monsters. He's a kind soul, a decent warrior, and while the desert is his favorite place to be, he thinks that this camp here in the savannah is decent, as well.

History

Ganien grew up alongside Lelantos and Delia. The trio were trained to be guards for the kingdom of Moonrise. They fought off dangers, settled disputes, and did all this without ever straying far from each other. Life was perfect.

When the other two wanted to venture somewhere else, he was torn. While Ganien loved his home and the people there, and his family, he loved his friends even more. So, cheerful as he could be, he followed them. Through the vast desert, through the shadowed forests, and even further south, across the water and into an entirely different kingdom. The Starheart kingdom felt like such a new and different place, but with the people he cared about with him, he felt that all would be well.

Eventually the group stumbled across other lions - a whole Regiment of them, who were apparently fighting monsters in the dark. Fascinating. Ganien asked his friends if they could stay for a time, and lend their assistance. After so long of him following his friends, his friends decided to follow his judgement. The three former guards stayed, and slowly learned about the secrets that had been underneath their feet all this time.

Ganien wasn't scared, though. Not as long as he had his friends with him.
